4. Shaykh al-Tusi has also mentioned that the following prayer is repeated each day in Rajab:
This supplication comprises of concepts concerning divine unity.
He has described Allah,(swt), in a manner which is impossible for us to describe.

and the elegant boons,
wal`ataya aljazilati
and plentiful rewards!

O He Who cannot be described by any analogy,

wa la yumaththalu binazirin
nor compared with any like,
wa la yughlabu bizahirin
and nor overcome with the help of any supporter.
ya man khalaqa farazaqa
O He Who created and then granted sustenance,
wa alhama fa-antaqa
and inspired (them) and then endowed them with speech,
wabtada`a fashara`a
and originated (the creation) and then initiated it,
wa `ala fartafa`a
transcended it and then surmounted it,
wa qaddara fa-ahsana
and determined it in an excellent form,
wa sawwara fa-atqana
and then formed it in a perfect manner,
wahtajja fa-ablagha
and advanced conclusive proofs,
wa an`ama fa-asbagha
and blessed abundantly,

and rewarded plenteously,
wa manaha fa-afdala
and conferred gracious gifts!
ya man sama fi al`izzi
O He Who is so lofty in might
fafata nawazira al-absari
so he eludes the gaze of the creatures' eyes,

O He Who is the sole sovereign of His dominion
fala nidda lahu fi malakuti sultanihi
that no peer can ever be found for Him in the realms of His power
wa tafarrada bil-ala‘i walkibriya‘i
and has been so matchless in bounties and supremacy
fala didda lahu fi jabaruti sha'nihi
that nothing can oppose Him in the omnipotence of His situation!

O He the greatness of whose awe, bewilders the intricate subtleties of the imagination

wa khada`at alrriqabu li`azamatihi
to His greatness all necks bend,
wa wajilat alqulubu min khifatihi
and His fear makes the hearts quake!
as'aluka bihadhihi almidhati allati la tanbaghi illa laka
I beseech You in the name of this piece of praise which suits none but You,

Dua BACKGROUND from AN Najmuth Saaqib
Incident Twenty-eight: Supplication recited by Imam (a.s.) in Masjid Saasa during Rajab
The venerable Sayyid, Ali bin Taaoos has narrated in the book of Iqbal from Muhammad bin Abil Ruwad Rawasi that he said:
He went out with Muhammad bin Ja’far Dahhaan towards
Masjid Sahla on one of the days of the month of Rajab.
He said: Take me to Masjid Saasa as it is a blessed Masjid
and Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) has prayed over there and the holy
proofs have stepped on those blessed precincts.
So I became inclined to that Masjid. I was praying there
when I saw a man alight from his camel and tie it under the
shade. Then he entered and offered two units of prayer and
prolonged those two units. Then he raised his hands and recited
as follows:
“Allaahumma Yaa zal manna…”
Till the end… then he arose and went to his camel and
mounted it.
Ibne Ja’far Dahhaan asked me: Should I not get up and
approach him? Should I not ask him who he is?
So we arose and went to him. Then we asked him: We
adjure you by Allah, to tell us who you are?
He replied: I adjure you by the Almighty Allah, who do you
think I am?
Ibne Ja’far Dahhaan replied: I think that you are Khizr.
Then he asked: Have you also thought so?
I replied: I thought that you are Khizr.
He said: By Allah, I am indeed one that Khizr is needful of
seeing. Return as I am the Imam of your time.
Shaykh Muhammad bin Mashadi in his Mazaar Kabeer (pp. 144-146)and
Shaykh Shaheed Awwal has narrated in Mazaar (pp. 264-266) from Ali bin
Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman Shustari that he said: I passed by
the Bani Rawas clan.
Some brothers said: If only you take us to Masjid Saasa so
that we can pray over there, because it is the month of Rajab and
it is recommended to perform the Ziyarat of that place in this
month as the Imams have passed over these places during these
times and prayed there and Masjid Saasa is one of those places.
Thus, we became inclined to him towards the Masjid when
suddenly we saw a camel whose legs were tied and was sleeping at the gate of the Masjid.
We entered and suddenly decried a man in Hijazi clothes
having a headgear resembling the people of Hijaz. He was seated
and reciting the following supplication, which I and my friend
memorized; it is as follows:
“Allaahumma yaa zal menanis saabegha…and so on”
Then he prolonged the prostration. After that he arose,
mounted his camel and went away.
My friend said: I think that he was Khizr. Then what
happened to us that we did not speak to him? As our tongue was
tied up.
We came out and met Ibne Abil Rawad Rawasi; he asked:
Where are you coming from?
We replied: From Masjid Saasa and we narrated the report.
He said: This camel rider visits Masjid Saasa every two or
three days and he does not speak.
We asked: Who is he?
He asked: Who do you think it is?
We said: We thought that he is Khizr.
Then he said: By Allah, I don’t know of anyone to see whom Khizr is needful of. Return with guidance and direction.
My friend said to me: He, by Allah, is the Master of the Age
(a.s.).
The author says: Apparently these are two incidents and
twice this supplication was heard from the Imam in that Masjid
during Rajab especially by Ali bin Muhammad Shushtari in a
way that His Eminence spoke to him and he also interacted with
the Imam.
The famous scholars have included this supplication
among the famous devotions of Masjid Saasa in books of
supplications and rituals of the month of Rajab
It seems that Imam’s reciting of this supplication was for a specific place; the masjid sasaa and time; Rajab
However it seems that it is from the absolute supplications and has no
restriction of time and place
