Perform ghusl at sunset and at the end of the Night of Eid al-Fitr - the physical bath of the body and the [spiritual] bath of purifying hearts from sins.
Keep Awake in Worship: It is recommended to spend the whole night with offering prayers, supplicating, imploring for forgiveness,
Holy Prophet (s): "Allah (swt) pours down good (al-khyayr) in abundance on 4 nights: Night of [Eid) al-Adhaa, [Eid] al-Fitr," (Muhammad al-Ray Shahri, Shahrullah fil-kitaab wal-sunnah, p. 495, H. 767 taken from Kanzul ‘ummal, 12, 322, H. 35215) AND
"He who keeps awake on the Nights of Two Eids (i.e. al-Fitr & al-Adhaa) expecting reward from Allah, his heart would not die on the day when hearts [of others] die" (Sunan ibn Maajah 1, 567, 1782)
Imam Ali (a): If you can preserve [the importance] of Nights of Fitr and Nahr . . . then do so; say a lot of supplications, prayers and recitation of the Qur’an. (Ibid, p. 496, H. 769 taken from Misbah al-tahajjud, p 852 from Harith b. ‘Abdullah)
Recommended to recite Sura 67 Al Mulk in night of EiD
Imam al-Sadiq (a): He who visits the grave of al-Husayn (a) on three nights, Allah forgives his past and future sins. “Which are these nights,” asked ‘Abdur Rahman b. Hajjaj. The Imam said, “the Night of Fitr, Night of al-adhaa and Night of the Middle of Sha‘baan.” (Ibid. H. 781 from Tahdhib al-ahkam 6, 49, 112).

,
2.Give Zakaat-e-Fitra
which is 3 kilograms of the item commonly eaten per person in the house and it is better give it before Eed Salaat This is an emphasized Waajib, it is a means of acceptance of our Aamaal during Ramadhan Month and it is also a safeguard against death.3. Make Ghusl. Recite this before it:
after finishing ghusl, recite this
4. Recite Ziarat of Imam Husayn(as) Qadr & Idd
5.Recite dua for the Day of Fast breaking & Friday is the dua no 46 from Sahifa Sajjadia
6. Recite Dua-e-Nudba.
Sayyid Ibn Tawus has instructed, saying: After recitation of the Du`a' al-Nudbah, do sajda/prostrate yourself and say the following:
a`udhu bika min narin harruha la yutfa'u
I seek refuge with Thee from the Fire whose hot flames do not get extinguished or grow dim,
wa jadeduha la yabla
whose energetic intensity does not loose its severity,
wa `atshanuha la yurwa
wherein parched throats never get quenched
You may then put your right cheek on the ground and say the following:
ilahe la tuqallib wajhiya finnari ba`da sujude wa ta`fere laka bighayri mannin minne `alayka bal laka almannu `alayya
O Allah do not throw me down head on into the Fire after I have prostrated in adoration before Thee and thrown myself on the ground to humble myself before Thee; it is not a show of favour from me unto Thee but it is (Thy) merciful benevolence Thou bestows on me.
You may then put your left cheek on the ground and say the following:
irham man asa'a waqtarafa wastakana wa`tarafa
Have mercy on him who has transgressed and committed blunders, (but) now ashamed surrenders (to Thee) to receive absolution
You may then return to the (normal) prostration and say the following:
I am a troublesome servant but Thou art the bountiful Lord-Nourisher. A great many mistakes have been committed by Thy servant but O Compassionate, from Thee (only) Lenient treatment is expected
You may then repeat the following one hundred times:
al`afwa al`afwa
(I plead for) pardon; (I plead for) pardon.

You should know that one of the customs on the Festival day is to congratulate the Immaculate Divine Leader (as), if he (as) has been granted an open hand in religious decrees and running the affairs. Next, you should congratulate his (as) existence, prosperity, guidance and the benefits of his (as) government to himself and those who are dear to you. And rather congratulate to this world, its inhabitants and those who have benefitted from the prosperity of believing in his (as) Imamate. However, if the Divine Leader is forbidden from his leadership, your face should show the results of sympathizing with him, anger along with the anger of the Almighty God who is your Master and his Master, and regret for loss of this Divine Gift.
The following is reported with a chain of documents by Abu Ja‟far Muhammad ibn Babuyih in his book Man La Yahzaruh Al-Faqih as well as others through a chain of documents on the authority of Han‟nan ibn Sadir, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Dinar, on the authority of Abu Ja‟far (as): “O‟ Abdullah! There are no Festivals for the Muslims whether the Azha Festival or the Fitr Festival on which the sadness of Muhammad‟s (as) family is not renewed.” They asked the reason. He (as) said, “Because they see that their right is in the hands of others.”
If you pay attention you will see that if their hands were open, then Islam‟s flag would be used to spread justice, the religious decrees would be clarified by Divine Favor, the possessions would be paid to the worshippers for the satisfaction of the Almighty God, the needs of the people would be fulfilled with happiness, and security would be established for everyone and everywhere.
The world would become illuminated with the rays of his (ajtfs) prosperity, his hands would be opened to control all areas of this world, the clear religious decrees and the powerful dominance of the Almighty God would become so clear that the intellects and the hearts become filled with joy and happiness and
his appearance would fill the horizons with light. O‟ my brother! I swear by God that in this case you would realize how important affairs that are out of Divine Generosity have been lost. Thus, crying, regret and sorrow would overcome you for a more expressive form of loyalty to the Immaculate Divine Leader (ajtfs) who is dear to you. Here we summarize and suffice to this much as warning and admonition. Another point is that observing peace and loyalty with those who have a right upon us should be respected more at times of being separated compared with times of reunion. Thus, make peace and loyalty for your Master be in your heart and Your Lord is Poweful to relieve your grief.
Groups Categorization of those who turn to Almighty God on the day that God the Almighty called a festival for his servants and fulfilled His Promise- Iqbal Aamal .
1. A group of people go towards Him while the Grandeur of the Almighty God has made them busy with themselves. They are confused given that they are about to face His Mercy and respond to His Call. They are like people who have never been in the presence of the king before, and suddenly the king has invited them to go to his presence.. Certainly, such people face the fear of encountering His Majesty, inability to properly address Him thinking that He may have become aware of what they have done, and a mixture of fear and guilt prevents them from asking what they need.
2. Another group turn to the Almighty God remembering that He is the custodian of their affairs and how the skies, the Earths and the creatures between those two and their benefits have been created. They remember how this support has started from the time of Adam (as) and has continued in terms of dealing with fear of birth, and being rescued from thousands of troubles until now. They also remember how God has fulfilled their needs including their daily-bread and other requests one generation after another. The thought of the previous blessings and the present Kindness of God has made them feel shy before another for other things.
3. Another group of people realize that they have misused what God has given them. They realize that they have ruined what God had given them to construct their afterlife. The shame and fear of this prevents them from hope and aspiration!
4. Another group of people are proud of their good deeds while having neglected the Creator of these deeds all their life. They have really forgotten God who has bestowed on them blessings and controls their life and survival. In reality, they are like blind people, ones who need a cane or like patients who need a doctor.
5. Another group of people want the reward of their deeds in the month of Ramadhan. They demand reward for the blessings that their Lord has bestowed on them. However, they should remember what God has done for them before their existence and during their life from the time of Adam (as), and our fathers, mothers and forefathers. They should also remember and think about the reward of all of those who have been used in their interest – including the angels, the Prophets (as), the dispatched messengers, the kings, the rulers, and all the past and present servants. They should consider how much of the reward of their deeds is left, if any. They should reimburse God if there is any left since they have turned to God and ask for their just reward!
6. Another group of people think about what their Master has done for them starting from the Creation of the Universe, their forefathers until their own death and what they need in this world to survive. For this reason, they consider their deeds to be very little. Thus, they cry to the Divine Threshold and find no reason to mention their deeds. Thus, they beg Him and extend their hands towards the Ka‟ba of Divine Generosity!
7. Another group of people turn to the Almighty God with as much recognition as their request for God‟s blessings. They only think of confessing to the Generosity of God – the Most Merciful – and only praise His Glory who attend the Festival prayers. They realize that even if they could have coexisted with God and tried with all of their ability to worship Him, they could not do enough! They even think that they would have wished to never have separated from God in this world and the Hereafter if it was not considered to be opposed to God‟s Will. How blessed is the standing of this group of worshippers on the Festival day! O‟ Brother! Try to follow this group of prosperous people and use them as your guide!

2.In order to welcome the Festival day, you may address God as follows in order to attain His Benevolence:
On this blessed Festival, his honor is threatened due to this torn attire, and he is ashamed for wearing the attire of wretchedness.
3.Section 16 Supplications Narrated on the Authority of Our Master Zayn al-Abedin (as) before the Festival Prayer
The following is narrated through a chain of documents to Sheikh Abi Muhammad Harun ibn Musa al-Talakbari – May God be pleased with him – on the authority of Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju‟afi, on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari: “I was in Medina when it was governed by Marvan ibn al-Hikam as an agent of Yazid ibn Muaviyyih. It was during the month of Ramadhan on the last night when the callers called the people to go out to the Baqia Mosque for the Festival prayers. Then I left my house intending to go to the house of Ali ibn al-Hussein (as) early at dawn. As I was passing one of the pathways of Medina I saw the residents leaving the Baqia Mosque. They asked me, “O' Jabir! Where are you going?” “O‟ Jabir ! Where are you going?” He replied, “I am going to the Prophet‟s mosque.” When we arrived at the mosque and entered it, we found my master Ali ibn al-Hussein (as) who was standing by himself and saying the morning prayers. I stood up and said the assembly prayer with him (as). When he (as) finished the morning prayer, he (as) prostrated and made a thanking prostration. Then he (as) sat and said supplications. I said Amen to his (as) supplications. He (as) said supplications until sunrise. When the sun rose, he (as) stood up, stood facing the Qibla and the grave of God‟s Prophet (as). Then he (as) raised his hands towards the sky until they were placed in front of his face and said the following supplications.
Honorable are Your words, You said, “Ya Sin. By the Qur‟an, full of Wisdom.” 36:1-2
Holy are Your Names, You said, “Sad: By the Qur‟an, Full of Admonition: (This is the Truth).”38:1
Tremendous are Your Bounties, You said, “Qaf: By the Glorious Qur‟an (You are Allah‟s Messenger).”.50:1
The tongues and understanding have failed to describe Your Intention of this and have failed to realized Your praising him. As in the emphasis of the Book and what is in it You – the Exalted, the Majestic said, “This Our Record speaks about you with truth:..”45:29
You – the Blessed the Sublime said in its beginning, “A.L.R. These are the ayats of the Book of Wisdom.”10:1
“A. L. R. (This is) a Book, with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning),…”111:1
and said, “A. L. R. A Book which We have revealed unto You, …” 14:1
and said,”A.L.R. These are the symbols (or Verses) of the perspicuous Book.”12:1 And said,”A.L.M. This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.”2:1-2 And other examples are such as the Al-Tavasin and Al-Havamim Chapters.
In all these instances You have especified along with the Book the name that You have singled out for Your Revelations, and have entrusted him with Your Hidden Secrects.
Then You – the Exalted, the Majestic said, “Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur‟an…”2:185 and said, “So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting”7 You also inclined me to the Hajj pilgrimage after You prescribed it to Your Sacred House and said, “Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to God!,- those who can afford the journey.”3:97.
And You – the Exalted, the Majestic said, You also said, “And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways; That they may witness the benefits (provided) for them, and celebrate the name of Allah, through the Days appointed, over the cattle which He has provided for them (for sacrifice): then eat ye thereof and feed the distressed ones in want. Then let them complete the rites prescribed for them, perform their vows, and (again) circumambulate the Ancient House.”1
You – Beautiful are Your Names - said, “And We shall try you until We test those among you who strive their utmost and persevere in patience; and We shall try your reported (mettle).
If You let me live to the same day and month next year, and did not make this be the last time for me, help me attain Your Pleasure. O‟ my God! Today let me be a partner in the prayers of all the believing men and women whose prayers You fulfilled, and let them be partners in my prayers that You fulfill here in this place right in front of You. Indeed I request for myself and them and seek protection for myself and them. So please fulfill it for me – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”

Eid Sermon from Imam Ali(as)
Long but Insightful Dua after Eid Salat - Iqbal Aamal
O my God! I ask You to bless me with the opportunity to fast during the month of Ramadhan, and give me good help regarding it to be able to finish it and reach the Festival Eid.
And favor me to worship You during it with Your good Help, and by easing the means to attain Your Success and Your good Help regarding it, and You treated me this way and let me know about the good way You dealt with me and Your noble fulfillment.
All praise belongs to You regarding the sustenance You provided for me and what You have bestowed on me.
O my God! This is the day whose worth You glorified, whose position You ennobled, and whose sanctity You honored and established it as a Festival for the Muslims.
You ordered Your Servants to go out on that day so that each person is granted the reward for what he has done and what he has sent ahead and be distinguished from those of Your Servants who had some shortcomings in performing the obligatory deeds – a reward that none but You has control or power over.
O my God! Now all the people who have done something for You whether they did something little or a lot – have gathered here on this day and in this location and they all seek the reward of what they did.
They demand from Your Nobility to add to the reward of their fasting and worshipping for You based on what You said, “Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!”1
O my God! And I am Your bondsman – knowing what You have made incumbent upon me. I am admitting to what You ordered me to do, and I am confessing to my shortcomings in deeds and my insufficient efforts.
I have not performed the obligatory deeds, and have abandoned what I had guaranteed to do myself.
O my God! Indeed I fasted but I have mixed it with various things either by mistake or intentionally –
such as forgetfulness, remembrance, things I said with my tongue, things I saw and lusted for, things I desired and liked, things my soul has aspired, things I have extended my hands towards, things I reached with my feet,
including what You have allowed but have considered them better not to do, and what You have forbidden by Your Admonishment.
O my God! I have mixed my fast with deeds which You have considered, little or much, small or large.
O my God! Now I have come out to You and have held a private talk with You confessing to the shortcomings of my deeds, and my shortcomings in what You have made incumbent to do.
I ask You to return to me with Forgiveness and Kindness and I have the best hope, the noblest aspirations and the most perfect desire for Your Pleasure.
O my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (ajtfs). Please forgive all my shortcomings, all my faults, all my evil deeds, all my extravagances, all my acts of ignorance, all acts done on purpose, or all mistakes I made during this month and while fasting or during the obligatory deeds.
Please bestow this on me, grant it and overlook. O‟ the Ultimate desire of those who desire! O‟ the ultimate fulfillment of all needs!
Please let me go away from here having bestowed Your great Reward, and abundant Gifts even more than I expected or asked for.
O my God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! There is no one like You.
O my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as).
Please forgive my sins – whether done on purpose or by mistake on this day and at this very hour.
O‟ Lord of all things and their Guardian! Please do such a thing for me and turn to me with Your Favor, Nobility, Kindness and Mercy – a sincere repentance such that I never become wretched afterwards.
O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! O‟ God! To You belong the highest Examples, and the most Beautiful Names. I take refuge in You from doubt after certitude – and from disbelief after faith.
O my God! Please forgive me.

no family that You do not provide for, no privation that You do not settle, no nakedness that You do not dress, no illness that You do not cure, no pains that You do not provide treatment for,
no griefs that You do not alleviate, no sadness that You do not remove, no fear that You do not secure, no hardship that You do not ease, no weakness that You do not strengthen, and no needs in this world and the Hereafter that You do not fulfill – with the noblest aspirations, best hopes and the most perfect greed for You have power over all things.
O my God! You said, “Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer).”40:60

And said, “…a promise! Of truth, which was made to them (in this life).”46:16
O my God! Indeed it was You who ordered me to pray to You, and You guided me to it.
I asked You, and You promised me its fulfillment.
I ask You to honor Your Promise since You are the Honest in speech! The Loyal to promises!

O my God! Many people today try and get ready and prepare the grounds to turn to other people hopeful of getting bestowals, gifts and grants. O‟ my Master! I decide, try and exert myself, prepare myself and smooth the way, and turn to You hoping to obtain Your Favors, Gifts, Benefits, and Grants. Indeed I find myself celebrating one of the holy days of the nation of Muhammad (as). Surely I have come to You with no good deeds to rely upon, and do not pay attention to the invitations extended by other people. Instead I have submissively come to You ashamed of the evils done to my ownself. I have no reasons or excuses. I come to You hoping for Your abounding Pardon through which You have pardoned the offenders. And You are the One who forgave their grave crimes while their long persistence in dreadful sin did not prevent You from returning toward them with Mercy and Forgiveness! O‟ He whose Mercy is All-Embracing and whose Nobility is great! O‟ the All-Mighty! O‟ the All-Mighty! O‟ the All-Mighty! O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ the All-Generous! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and His Progeny (as) and turn to me with Your Mercy. Please favor me with Your Pardon and Health! Please be kind to me with Your Kindness. O‟ Lord! Please extend my means of livelihood. Nothing but Your Patience can offset Your Wrath. Nothing but Your Pardoning can offset Your Anger. Nothing but Your Mercy can save me from Your Chastisement. Nothing but my crying to You can save me from You.
Then please Bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and His Progeny(as).
O my God! Please grant me relief with the Power with which You bring the dead back to life and revive barren land.
O my God! Please do not make me rush into deadly danger, in frustration until You accept my supplications and let me know about the fulfillment of my prayers. Please let me taste the sweetness of healthiness until the time of my death. Do not make me subject to the enemy‟s ridicule, and do not let him overcome me. O‟ Lord! If You improve my position, no one can lower my position! If You lower my position no one can raise my position! If You punish me, no one can have mercy on me. If You honor me, no one can disgrace me and if You belittle me, no one can honor me. If You condemn me no one can object to You about Your Servant or question You regarding his plight!
O my God! I know for sure there is no oppression or injustice in what You decree, and there is no rush in Your Punishment since indeed those who fear death rush and the weak need to oppress but You are Sublime, away from this, “Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!”17:43
O my God! Please Bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as). However, You are Sublime, away from this, “Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!”17:43

O my God! Please Bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as). Please do not let me be the target of calamities, or experience any of Your misfortunes, but give me a chance, relieve me, overlook my slippage, have mercy on my submissiveness, and do not subject me to one calamity after another since You see my weakness, my little planning and my submissiveness to You.

O my God! Please express Your Religion, and the way of life of Your Prophet (as) through them such that no just issue is kept concealed from any human being.
O my God! I am inclined to You in the Noble Government by which You shall honor Islam and its followers, and debase hypocrisy and its adherents. Please include us among those who invite the people to Your Obedience, and lead them to Your Path, and give us the good of this world and the Hereafter.
O my God! Please acquaint us with the rights that we are not acquainted with and let us attain what we have failed to attain!
O my God! Please fulfill our prayers. Let us be of those who remember and benefit from it.
O my God! Indeed I find myself celebrating one of the holy days of the nation of Muhammad (as) and trust no one but You. Surely I have come to You with no good deeds to rely upon, but I do not pay attention to the invitations extended by other people.
O my God! Please bless our holy day for us as You guided us towards it and provided us sustenance from it, and helped us with.
O my God! Please accept whatever we performed during it from us including obligatory deeds which we performed, the traditions that we adhered to, the recommended prayers we said, the voluntarily deeds performed with Your Permission, and what would bring us close to You: what would get us engaged in His Obedience, the well-being granted to us by Him, and the acts of servitude.
O my God! Please accept all of this from us as pure and sufficient.O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
“Our Lord!” (they say), “Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us…”1
Do not debase us after You have honored us. Do not let us deviate after giving us success.
Do not dishonor us after You have honored us! Do not make us needy after You have made us rich.
و
Please do not take away what You have already Bestowed upon us. Do not deprive us after You have blessed us with sustenance.
Do not change any of Your Bounties for us or any of Your Favors to us for anything we may have done since it is a part of Your Benevolence, Pardon and Generosity to forgive our sins by Your Mercy.
O‟ “There is no God but You”! Please liberate our necks from the Hell-fire by “There is no God but You!” I ask You by Your Noble Face
If You are pleased with me in this month, please increase Your Level of being pleased such that You will never get angry with me afterwards.
And if You are not pleased with me - I take refuge in You from this being the case – right now get pleased with me such that You never become displeased with me afterwards.
Please have mercy on me such that You never punish me afterwards.
And make me prosperous on this night – a prosperity that will never turn into wretchedness afterwards. And make me rich such that it will never turn into poverty afterwards.
And let Your noblest reward be for me today by granting me release from the Hell-fire.And grant me from Paradise what is deserving of You.
If I get to see the Night of Destiny, put off my death until next year so that I may see it next year with ease and well-being for me provided by You. O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Please do not make this the last month of Ramadhan in our lifetime. And bestow on all the believing men and women what I asked for myself by Your Mercy! O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
What God wills happens! There is no Change or Power except with God.
Surely, God is Sufficient for us! And in Him we trust! And may God bestow blessings on His Best Creatures – the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and may His peace be on them plentifully.

O my God! You see everything but nothing can see You. You are in the heavenly heights! The One who splits grains and seeds! He knows the secrets and hidden thoughts. O‟ Lord of the worlds! All praise belongs to You.
Praise belongs to You in the highest! Praise belongs to You in darkness and light!
Praise belongs to You in shade and heat.
Praise belongs to You in the mornings and in the evenings.
Praise belongs to You in the various times and conditions.
Praise belongs to You in the depth of Your earth.
Praise belongs to You in all circumstances.
my God! We have said our daily prayers, guarded our chastity, fasted our month, obeyed our Lord, payed our fasting tax voluntarily, and have now come here to receive our rewards.
And please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and do not disappoint us.
Favor us with repentance and forgiveness. Do not turn us back.
“Our Lord!” (they say), “Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us…”3:8.Please do not make this the last one in our lifetime.
O‟ God! Please bless us with fasting and waking up at nights during it for as long as we live. Please favor us with Paradise and save us from the Fire and join us in wedlock with the green-eyed Houris. Amen!
O‟ Lord of the worlds. You have Power over all things. Please bestow God‟s Blessings on the best onechosen from Your Creatures – The Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as), the Immaculate (as), the pure ones. And may His peace be on them plentifully.”
O my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as).
O my God! Please forgive me.
O my God! Please forgive me.
O my God! Please favor me! Please turn to me, and have Mercy on me.
O my God! Have mercy on my poverty! Have Mercy on my debasement! Have mercy on my helplessness!
O my God! Please have mercy on my taking heed!
O my God! Please do not disappoint me while I call upon You. Do not punish me while I ask You to forgive me.for all my sins – whether committed knowingly or by mistake; whether I remember them or not.
Therefore, please respond to me as You have promised me since You never break Your promise.”
I ask You to honor Your Promise since You are the Honest in speech! The Loyal to promises!
The next para is the similar to the Dua Man Taaba Tahaya
O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
