Eight prayers to be said before Leaving Home from "BAQIYATUS SALEHAT"
Dua when enetering home click here First: Imam al-Sadiq (`a) is reported to have said: say the following words 3 times just before leaving. If he does, he will be kept under the custody of Allah swt until He returns him to the place he has left:
wa qini sharra kulli dabbatin anta akhidun binasiyatiha
and guard me against the evil of every living creature that You hold by its forelock.
إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
inna rabbi `ala siratin mustaqimin
Surely, my Lord is on the right path.
Second: Imam al-Sajjad (`a) is reported to have said: At the door of your house just before you leave it, you may say the following words:
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِٱللَّهِ
bismillahi wa billahi
In the Name of Allah (I begin) and in Allah (I trust).
تَوكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ
tawkkaltu `ala allahi
I put my trust in Allah.
Third: Imam al-Baqir (`a) is reported to have said: Whoever says the following statement when he leaves his house, Almighty Allah will save him from whatever of his this-worldly and otherworldly affairs that concern him:
O Allah, I beseech You for success in what I am leaving to do
وَاعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَرَجْتُ لَهُ
wa a`udhu bika min sharri ma kharajtu lahu
and pray Your protection against failure in what I am leaving to do.
اَللَّهُمَّ اوْسِعْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
allahumma awsi` `alayya min fadlika
O Allah, (please) expand Your favors to me,
وَاتْمِمْ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ
wa atmim `alayya ni`mataka
make perfect Your graces to me,
وَٱسْتَعْمِلْنِي فِي طَاعَتِكَ
wasta`milni fi ta`atika
dedicate me to obedience to You,
وَٱجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ
waj`al raghbati fima `indaka
make me desire for what You have in possession,
وَتَوَفَّنِي عَلَىٰ مِلَّتِكَ وَمِلَّةِ رَسُولِكَ
wa tawaffani `ala millatika wa millati rasulika
and cause me to die carrying the principles You have instructed and the principles of Your Messenger,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
ah bless him and his Househo
Fifth: Imam al-Rida (`a) is reported to have said: My father (`a) used to say the following words whenever he would leave his house: Image
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahman alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
خَرَجْتُ بِحَوْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ
kharajtu bihawli allahi wa quwwatihi
I am leaving by the might and power of Allah,
لاَ بِحَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَقُوَّتِي
la bihawlin minni wa quwwati
but not by my own might or power;
بَلْ بِحَوْ لِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ يَا رَبِّ
bal bihawlika wa quwwatika ya rabbi
rather, by the might and power of You, O Lord,
مُتَعَرِّضاً لِرِزْقِكَ
muta`arridan lirizqika
seeking Your sustenance.
فَاتِنِي بِهِ فِي عَافِيَةٍ
fa'tini bihi fi `afiyatin
So, (please) provide me with it easily.
Sixth: Imam al-Sadiq (`a) is reported to have said, “Whoever repeats Surah al-Tawhid ten times before he leaves his house, will be kept under the safeguard and protection of Almighty Allah until he returns home.”
Seventh:Imam Abul Hassan Musa (`a) is reported to have said: When you intend to travel, you may stop at the door of your house and recite
Surah al-Fatiah (No. 1) in front of you as well as to your right and left sides. You may also recite Surah-Tawhid, Surah al-Falaq (No. 113), and Sura al-Naas(No. 114). You may then say the following prayer
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱحْفَظْنِي وَٱحْفَظْ مَا مَعِيَ
allahumma ihfazni wahfaz ma ma`iya
O Allah, (please) safeguard me and safeguard whatever is with me,
wa ballighni wa balligh ma ma`iya balaghan hasanan
and make me and whatever is with me reach my destination in a perfect way.
Eighth: Imam Musa al-Kazim (`a) is also reported to have said: Whenever you leave your house, whether going on a journey or going to a certain place in your city, you may say the following words:
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ
bismillahi
In the Name of Allah (I begin),
آمَنْتُ بِٱللَّهِ
amantu billahi
in Allah do I believe,
وَتَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ
wa tawakkaltu `ala allahi
and in Allah do I put my trust.
مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ
ma sha'a allahu
Only what Allah wills (shall come to pass).
لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ
la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi
There is neither might nor power except with Allah.
DUA'A 442 Imam Ali ibn abi Talib (as) advised the believers to say the following dua'a at the time of entering the house & then recite surah al Ikhlas inside the house.
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ رَّبِّنَا
Assalaamu A'laynaa Min Rabbinaa
Peace be on us from our Lord.

36. From al-Shaykh al- "al-Shaykh al-Tusi" in al-Majlis: Narrated from ~Abdillah ibn al-Hasan from his mother Fatimah bint al-Husayn from her father from ... Whenever the Holy Prophet entered the masjid he would say:
أَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ.
O Allah ! Open for me the doors of Your Mercy.
And when he used to leave he would say:
أَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رِزْقِكَ.
O Allah ! Open for me the doors of Your Sustenance.[i]
37. From al-Tabari in the book al-Imamah: Narrated from ~Abdillah ibn al-Hasan from Fatimah al-Sughra, from her father al-Husayn, from Fatimah al-Kubra bint Rasulillah, peace be upon them all: When the Noble Prophet entered the masjid, he would say:
