Baqi Main Ziyarat

Permission to Enter- Izn e Dukhool

يَا مَوَالِيَّ يَا ابْنَاءَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

ya mawaliyya ya abna'a rasuli allahi

O my masters, sons of the Messenger of Allah,

عَبْدُكُمْ وَٱبْنُ امَتِكُمُ

`abdukum wabnu amatikum

I—your servant and the son of your maid

ٱلذَّليلُ بَيْنَ ايْديكُمْ

aldhdhalilu bayna aydikum

who stand submissively before you,

وَٱلْمُضْعِفُ فِي عُلُوِّ قَدْرِكُمْ

walmud`ifu fi `uluwwi qadrikum

who is worth nothing in comparison with your elevated esteem,

وَٱلْمُعْتَرِفُ بِحَقِّكُمْ

walmu`tarifu bihaqqikum

and who admits your right (that is incumbent upon us)—

جَاءَكُمْ مُسْتَجيراً بِكُمْ

ja'akum mustajiran bikum

have come to you, seeking your shelter,

قَاصِداً إِلَىٰ حَرَمِكُمْ

qasidan ila haramikum

heading for your sanctuary,

مُتَقَرِّباً إِلَىٰ مَقَامِكُمْ

mutaqarriban ila maqamikum

seeking nearness to Your statuses,

مُتَوَسِّلاًَ إِلَىٰ اللَّهِ تَعَالَىٰ بِكُمْ

mutawassilan ila allahi ta`ala bikum

and beseeching Allah in your names.

اادْخُلُ يَا مَوَالِيَّ؟

a'adkhulu ya mawaliyya

May I enter, O my masters?

اادْخُلُ يَا اوْلِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ؟

a'adkhulu ya awliya'a allahi

May I enter, O intimate servants of Allah?

اادْخُلُ يَا مَلاَئِكَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُحْدِقينَ بِهٰذَا ٱلْحَرَمِ

a'adkhulu ya mala'ikata allahi almuhdiqina bihadha alharami

May I enter, O Allah’s angels who surround this sanctuary

ٱلْمُقيمينَ بِهٰذَا ٱلْمَشْهَدِ؟

almuqimina bihadha almashhadi

and reside in this shrine?

After you attain reverence, submission, and tenderheartedness, you may enter the shrine with your right foot, and say the following:

اللَّهُ اكْبَرُ كَبيراً

allahu akbaru kabiran

Allah is greatly the Greatest.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثيراً

walhamdu lillahi kathiran

All praise be to Allah abundantly.

وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَاصيلاًَ

wa subhana allahi bukratan wa asilan

Glory be to Allah in morns and eves.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْفَرْدِ ٱلصَّمَدِ

walhamdu lillahi alfardi alssamadi

All praise be to Allah, the Single, the Absolute,

ٱلْمَاجِدِ ٱلاحَدِ

almajidi al-ahadi

the Glorious, the One and Only,

ٱلْمُتَفَضِّلِ ٱلْمَنَّانِ

almutafaddili almannani

the All-obliging, the All-benefactor,

ٱلْمُتَطَوِّلِ ٱلْحَنَّانِ

almutatawwili alhannani

the Donor, the All-compassionate,

ٱلَّذِي مَنَّ بِطَوْلِهِ

alladhi manna bitawlihi

Who conferred (upon us) with His bequests,

وَسَهَّلَ زِيَارَةَ سَادَاتِي بِإِحْسَانِهِ

wa sahhala ziyarata sadati bi'ihsanihi

Who has made easy for me to visit my masters out of His beneficence,

وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي عَنْ زِيَارَتِهِمْ مَمْنُوعاً

wa lam yaj`alni `an ziyaratihim mamnu`an

Who has not included me with those who are prevented from visiting them;

بَلْ تَطَوَّلَ وَمَنَحَ

bal tatawwala wa manaha

rather, He has bestowed upon me and donated me (this favor).

You may then move toward their tombs, face them, turn the back to the kiblah direction, and say the following:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ائِمَّةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

alssalamu `alaykum a'immata alhuda

Peace be upon you, O Leaders of true guidance.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ اهْلَ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ

alssalamu `alaykum ahla alttaqwa

Peace be upon you, O people of piety.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ايُّهَا ٱلْحُجَجُ عَلَىٰ اهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

alssalamu `alaykum ayyuha alhujaju `ala ahli alddunya

Peace be upon you, O Arguments against the inhabitants of this world.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ايُّهَا ٱلْقُوَّامُ فِي ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ بِٱلْقِسْطِ

alssalamu `alaykum ayyuha alquwwamu fi albariyyati bilqisti

Peace be upon you, O maintainers of justice on people.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ اهْلَ ٱلصَّفْوَةِ

alssalamu `alaykum ahla alssafwati

Peace be upon you, O choicest people.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ آلَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

alssalamu `alaykum ala rasuli allahi

Peace be upon you, O members of the Household of Allah’s Messenger.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ اهْلَ ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ

alssalamu `alaykum ahla alnnajwa

Peace be upon you, O people of confidential talks (of the angels).

اشْهَدُ انَّكُمْ قَدْ بَلَّغْتُمْ وَنَصَحْتُمْ

ashhadu annakum qad ballaghtum wa nasahtum

I bear witness that you did convey, offer advice,

وَصَبَرْتُمْ فِي ذَاتِ ٱللَّهِ

wa sabartum fi dhati allahi

endure for the sake of Allah,

وَكُذِّبْتُمْ وَاسيءَ إِلَيْكُمْ فَغَفَرْتُمْ

wa kudhdhibtum wa usi'a ilaykum faghafartum

and forgive when you were belied and maltreated.

وَاشْهَدُ انَّكُمُ ٱلائِمَّةُ ٱلرَّاشِدُونَ ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَ

wa ashhadu annakumu al-a'immatu alrrashiduna almuhtaduna

I also bear witness that you are the orthodox, well-guided Leaders,

وَانَّ طَاعَتَكُمْ مَفْرُوضَةٌ

wa anna ta`atakum mafrudatun

that the obedience to you is obligatory,

وَانَّ قَوْلَكُمُ ٱلصِّدْقُ

wa anna qawlakumu alssidqu

that your words are true,

وَانَّكُمْ دَعْوَتُمْ فَلَمْ تُجَابُوٱ

wa annakum da`awtum falam tujabu

that you had called (to Allah) but you were not answered,

وَامَرْتُمْ فَلَمْ تُطَاعُوٱ

wa amartum falam tuta`u

that you had enjoined (the right) but you were not obeyed,

وَانَّكُمْ دَعَائِمُ ٱلدِّينِ وَارْكَانُ ٱلارْضِ

wa annakum da`a'imu alddini wa arkanu al-ardi

and that you are the supports of the religion and the poses of the earth.

لَمْ تَزَالُوٱ بِعَيْنِ ٱللَّهِ

lam tazalu bi`ayni allahi

You were always under the sight of Allah

يَنْسَخُكُمْ مِنْ اصْلاَبِ كُلِّ مُطَّهَرٍ

yansakhukum min aslabi kulli mutahharin

Who moved you from the loins of purified men

وَيَنْقُلُكُمْ مِنْ ارْحَامِ ٱلْمُطَهَّرَاتِ

wa yanqulukum min arhami almutahharati

to the wombs of purified women.

لَمْ تُدَنِّسْكُمُ ٱلْجَاهِلِيَّةُ ٱلْجَهْلاَءُ

lam tudanniskumu aljahiliyyatu aljahla'u

The benighted ignorance could not stain you

وَلَمْ تَشْرَكْ فِيكُمْ فِتَنُ ٱلاهْوَاءِ

wa lam tashrak fikum fitanu al-ahwa'i

and the whimsical sedition could not attract you.

طِبْتُمْ وَطَابَ مَنْبَتُكُمْ

tibtum wa taba manbatukum

Pleased be you as your origin has been pleased.

مَنَّ بِكُمْ عَلَيْنَا دَيَّانُ ٱلدِّينِ

manna bikum `alayna dayyanu alddini

The King of the religion has conferred upon us with the grace of our acknowledgment of you;

فَجَعَلَكُمْ فِي بُيُوتٍ

faja`alakum fi buyutin

He therefore caused you to be in houses

اذِنَ ٱللَّهُ انْ تُرْفَعَ

adhina allahu an turfa`a

which He (i.e. Allah) has permitted to be exalted

وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُ

wa yudhkara fiha ismuhu

and that His Name may be mentioned therein,

وَجَعَلَ صَلاَتَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ

wa ja`ala salatana `alaykum

and He has decided our invocations of blessings upon you

رَحْمَةً لَنَا وَكَفَّارَةً لِذُنُوبِنَا

rahmatan lana wa kaffaratan lidhunubina

to be mercy on us and to be granting remission of our sins.

إِذِ ٱخْتَارَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا

idhi ikhtarakumu allahu lana

Allah has chosen you for us

وَطَيَّبَ خَلْقَنَا بِمَا مَنَّ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ وِلاَيَتِكُمْ

wa tayyaba khalqana bima manna `alayna min wilayatikum

and has purified our creation through the grace of our loyalty to your (Divinely commissioned) Leadership with which He has conferred upon us.

وَكُنَّا عِنْدَهُ مُسَمِّينَ بِعِلْمِكُمْ

wa kunna `indahu musammina bi`ilmikum

We have thus become nominated with Him due to our acknowledgement of you

مُعْتَرِفِينَ بِتَصْدِيقِنَا إِيَّاكُمْ

mu`tarifina bitasdiqina iyyakum

and our giving credence to you.

وَهٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ اسْرَفَ وَاخْطَا

wa hadha maqamu man asrafa wa akhta'a

So, this is the situation of him who has committed mistakes and sins,

وَٱسْتَكَانَ وَاقَرَّ بِمَا جَنَىٰ

wastakana wa aqarra bima jana

shown submission (to you), and confessed of what he had committed.

وَرَجَا بِمَقَامِهِ ٱلْخَلاَصَ

wa raja bimaqamihi alkhalasa

Hence, being in this situation, I hope for redemption

وَانْ يَسْتَنْقِذَهُ بِكُمْ مُسْتَنْقِذُ ٱلْهَلْكَىٰ مِنَ ٱلرَّدَىٰ

wa an yastanqidhahu bikum

and I hope that the Savior of the perishing ones from perdition may save me in your names.

فَكُونُوٱ لِي شُفَعَاءَ

mustanqidhu alhalka min alrrada

So, (please) be my interceders,

فَقَدْ وَفَدْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ

fakunu li shufa`a'a

for I have come to you

إِذْ رَغِبَ عَنْكُمْ اهْلُ ٱلدُّنْيَا

faqad wafadtu ilaykum

when the people of this world abandoned you,

وَٱتَّخَذُوٱ آيَاتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُواً

idh raghiba `ankum ahlu alddunya

took the Signs of Allah for a jest,

وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوٱ عَنْهَا

wattakhadhu ayati allahi huzwan

and turned away from them haughtily.

You may then raise your head toward the sky and say the following:

يَا مَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ لاََ يَسْهُو

ya man huwa qa'imun la yashu

O He Who is Self-Subsisting and never forgets,

وَدَائِمٌ لاََ يَلْهُو

wa da'imun la yalhu

Who is Ever-living and never becomes heedless,

وَمُحيطٌ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa muhitun bikulli shay'in

and Who encompasses all things!

لَكَ ٱلْمَنُّ بِمَا وَفَّقْتَنِي

laka almannu bima waffaqtani

To You is all gratitude for that You have guided me (to this)

وَعَرَّفْتَنِي بِمَا اقَمْتَنِي عَلَيْهِ

wa `arraftani bima aqamtani `alayhi

and You have introduced to me that on which I rest,

إِذْ صَدَّ عَنْهُ عِبَادُكَ

idh sadda `anhu `ibaduka

when Your servants diverted from it,

وَجَهِلُوٱ مَعْرِفَتَهُ

wa jahilu ma`rifatahu

ignored the recognition of it,

وَٱسْتَخَفُّوٱ بِحَقِّهِ

wastakhaffu bihaqqihi

belittled its right,

وَمَالُوٱ إِلَىٰ سِوَاهُ

wa malu ila siwahu

and inclined to elsewhere.

فَكَانَتِ ٱلْمِنَّةُ مِنْكَ عَلَيَّ

fakanat alminnatu minka `alayya

Hence, You have conferred upon me with this favor

مَعَ اقْوَامٍ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِمَا خَصَصْتَنِي بِهِ

ma`a aqwamin khasastahum bima khasastani bihi

as well as upon other people whom You have granted exclusively the same.

فَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ إِذْ كُنْتُ عِنْدَكَ

falaka alhamdu idh kuntu `indaka

So, all praise be to You, for I have been

فِي مَقَامِي هٰذَا مَذْكُوراً مَكْتُوباً

fi maqami hadha madhkuran maktuban

mentioned and written with You due to the situation in which I am now.

فَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي مَا رَجَوْتُ

fala tahrimni ma rajawtu

Hence, (please) do not deprive me of what I long for,

وَلاَ تُخَيِّبْنِي فِي مَا دَعَوْتُ

wa la tukhayyibni fi ma da`awtu

and do not disappoint me as regards my supplication;

بِحُرْمَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ

bihurmati muhammadin wa alihi alttahirina

(please do so) in the name of the sanctity of Muhammad and his immaculate Household.

وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

You may now pray Almighty Allah for anything you want.
In Tahdhib al-Ahkam, Shaykh al-Tusi says: You may then offer the Ziyarah Prayer (salat al-ziyarah) in eight units; each two units are for one of the (four) Imams.
Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid Ibn Tawus say that if you want to bid farewell to the four Imams, you may say the following:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ائِمَّةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

alssalamu `alaykum a'immata alhuda wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you, O leaders to the true guidance.

اسْتَوْدِعُكُمُ ٱللَّهَ وَاقْرَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلاَمَ

astawdi`ukumu allaha wa aqra'u `alaykumu alssalama

I entrust you with Allah([1]) and send salutations to you.

آمَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلرَّسُولِ

amanna billahi wa bilrrasuli

We believe in Allah and in the Messenger

وَبِمَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ وَدَلَلْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ

wa bima ji'tum bihi wa dalaltum `alayhi

and in that which you have conveyed and that to which you have guided.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّاهِدِينَ

allahumma faktubna ma`a alshshahidina

O Allah, then write us down among those who bear witness.

You may then supplicate Almighty Allah as earnestly as possible and pray Him to grant you another opportunity to visit these holy tombs.

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ

assalaamo a'laa nabiyyil laahe assalaamo a'laa rasoolil laahe

Peace be on the Prophet of Allah, Peace be on the Messenger of Allah,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

assalaamo a'laa mohammadin sayyedil mursaleena

Peace be on Muhammad the leader of the Messengers,

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ الْأَوَّلِينَ

assalaamo a'la mohammadin sayyedil awwaleena

Peace be on Muhammad the leader of the foremost ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ الْآخِرِينَ

assalaamo a'laa mohammadin sayyedil aakhereena

Peace be on Muhammad the leader of the last ones.

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَى مَنْ بَعَثَهُ اللهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

assalaamo a'laa man ba-a'sahul laaho rahmatan lil-a'alameena

Peace be on one whom Allah sent as a mercy to the universe.

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyohan nabiyyo wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu

Peace be on you, O Prophet and the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ أَسَدٍ الْهَاشِمِيَّةِ

assalaamo a'laa faatemata binte asadenil haashemiyyate

Peace be on Fatima, the daughter of Asad, the Hashimite,

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ أَيَّتُهَا الصِّدِّيقَةُ الْمَرْضِيَّةُ

assalaamo a'layke ayyatohs siddeeqatul marziyyato

Peace be upon you O truthful and contented one;

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ أَيَّتُهَا التَّقِيَّةُ النَّقِيَّةُ

assalaamo a'layke ayyatohat taqiyyatun naqiyyato

Peace be upon you O virtuous and pure one;

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكِ أَيَّتُهَا الْكَرِيمَةُ الرَّضِيَّةُ (الْمَرْضِيَّةُ) ا

assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal kareematur raziyyato

Peace be upon You O noble and contented one;

اَلسَّلاَم عَلَيْكِ يَا كَافِلَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ

assalaamo a'layke yaa kaafelata mohammadin khaatamin nabiyyeena

Peace be upon you O one who looked after Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكِ يَا وَالِدَةَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ

assalaamo a'layka yaa waaledata sayyedil wasiyyeena

Peace be upon you O mother of the leader of the successors.

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مَنْ ظَهَرَتْ شَفَقَتُهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ

assalaamo a'layka yaa man zaharat sha-fa-qatohaa a'laa rasoolil laahe khatamin nabiyyeena

Peace be upon you who showed compassion to the Prophet of Allah, seal of the Prophets;

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مَنْ تَرْبِيَتُهَا لِوَلِيِّ اللهِ الْأَمِينِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa man tarbeyatohaa le-waliyyil laahilameene

Peace be upon you O one who raised the trustworthy friend of Allah;

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَى رُوحِكِ وَ بَدَنِكِ الطَّاهِرِ

assalaamo a'layke wa a'laa rooheke wa badanekit tahere

Peace be upon you, on your soul and on your pure body;

اَلسَّلاَمُُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَى وَلَدِكِ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

assalaamu aliki waalaa waladiki warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

May peace, mercy and blessings be upon you and on your son.

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكِ أَحْسَنْتِ الْكَفَالَةَ وَ أَدَّيْتِ الْأَمَانَةَ

ashhadu annaki ahsantil kifaalata waaddaitil amanata

I bear witness that you supported in the best manner possible and fulfilled your obligation

وَ اجْتَهَدْتِ فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللهِ

wajtahadti fii marzaatillahi

and strived for the pleasure of Allah

وَ بَالَغْتِ فِي حِفْظِ رَسُولِ اللهِ

wabalghti fii hifzi rasulillahi

and exerted yourself in protecting the Prophet of Allah,

عَارِفَةً بِحَقِّهِ مُؤْمِنَةً بِصِدْقِهِ مُعْتَرِفَةً بِنُبُوَّتِهِ

aarifatan bihaqqihi muminatan bisidqihi mutarifatan bi nubuwwatihi

being aware of his status; believing in his truthfulness; acknowledging his prophecy,

مُسْتَبْصِرَةً بِنِعْمَتِهِ كَافِلَةً بِتَرْبِيَتِهِ

mustabsiratan biniamatihi kaafilatn bitarbiyatihi

perceiving his blessings; taking responsibility of his upbringing,

مُشْفِقَةً عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَاقِفَةً عَلَى خِدْمَتِهِ

mushfiqatan alaa nafsihi waaqifatan alaa khidmatihi

dealing with him affectionately; ready to serve him;

(مُخْتَارَةً رِضَاهُ (مُؤْثِرَةً هَوَاهُ

mukhtaaratan rizaahu wamusiratan hawaahu

choosing what please him, preferring what he like;

وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكِ مَضَيْتِ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ

waashhadu annaki mazaiti allal limani

I bear witness that you spent your life on the (true) faith

وَ التَّمَسُّكِ بِأَشْرَفِ الْأَدْيَانِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً

wattamssuki biashrafil advaani raziyatan marziyyatan

and adhering to the most noble religion, being pleased and contented,

طَاهِرَةً زَكِيَّةً تَقِيَّةً نَقِيَّةً فَرَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْكِ

taahiratn zakiyyatan taqiyyatan naqiyyatan faraziyallahu anki

pure, clean, guarded and virtuous.May Allah be pleased and satisfied with you;

وَ أَرْضَاكِ وَ جَعَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْزِلَكِ وَ مَأْوَاكِ

waarzaaki wajaalal jannata manzilaki wamaawaki. …

may He make heaven as your house and permanent abode.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli alaa muhammadin walli muhammadin

O Allah, send your greetings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ انْفَعْنِي بِزِيَارَتِهَا وَ ثَبِّتْنِي عَلَى مَحَبَّتِهَا

waanfanii biziyaratiha wasabbiitnii alaa mahabbatiha

and make my visiting her beneficial to me and make me firm in my love for her

وَ لاَ تَحْرِمْنِي شَفَاعَتَهَا وَ شَفَاعَةَ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهَا

walaa tahrimnii shafaataha washafaatal aimmati min dhuriyyatiha

and do not deprive me of her intercession and the intercession of the Imams from her loins;

وَ ارْزُقْنِي مُرَافَقَتَهَا وَ احْشُرْنِي مَعَهَا وَ مَعَ أَوْلاَدِهَا الطَّاهِرِينَ

warzuqnii muraafaqataha wahashurnii maaba wama-a-awladiha-ttahiriina.

so grant me her company and gather me with her and with her pure children;

اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِي إِيَّاهَا

allahumma laa tajalhu aakhiral ahdi min ziyaratii iyyahaa

O Allah, do not make it my last visit to her

وَ ارْزُقْنِي الْعَوْدَ إِلَيْهَا أَبَداً مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

warzuqniil awda ilaiha abadan maa abqaitnii

and grant me another visit to her as long as You keep me alive

وَ إِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي فَاحْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَتِهَا

waidhaa tawaffaitanii fiii zumratina

and if You cause me to die then gather me with her ranks

وَ أَدْخِلْنِي فِي شَفَاعَتِهَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

waadkhilnii fii shafaatin birahmatika yaa arhamaarahimiin.

and include me amongst those receiving her intercession by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful ones.

اللَّهُمَّ بِحَقِّهَا عِنْدَكَ وَ مَنْزِلَتِهَا لَدَيْكَ اغْفِرْ لِي

allahumma bihaqqiha indakaa wamanzilatiha ladaika ighfirlii

O Allah, I ask You by her status and high position in front of You, forgive me

وَ لِوَالِدَيَّ وَ لِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

waliwaalidayya walijamiil muminiina walmuminati

and my parents and all believing men and women

وَ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ

waatina fidduniya hasanatan wafil aakhirati hasanatan waqina birahmatik adhabannar

and grant us goodness in this and the next world and save us, by Your mercy, from the punishment of the fire.

Wives of Holy Prophet(saws)

The respectful and pure wives of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) are also buried in Baqee. According to the Holy Quran the blessed wives of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) are the mothers of believers and their respect is obligatory for us. Recite the Ziarat of these esteemed ladies as follows:

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَیْكُنَّ یَا زَوْجَاتِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'laykunna yaa zawjaate rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you, O wives of Allah's Messenger.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُنَّ یَا زَوْجَاتِ نَبِیِّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'laykunna yaa zawjaate nabiyyil laahe

Peace be upon you, O wives of Allah's Prophet

اُمَّہَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ

ummahaatil moa-meneena wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu

and mothers of the believers. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَللّٰہُمَّ ارْضِ عَنْہُنَّ وَ ارْفَعْ دَرَجَاتِہِنَّ

allaahummar- ze a'nhunna war- fa' darajaatehinna

O Allah; (please) be pleased with them and raise their ranks,

وَ اَكْرِمْ مَقَامَہُنَّ وَ اَجْزِلْ ثَوَابَہُنَّ

wa akrim maqaamahunna wa aj-zil sawaabahunna

honor their positions, and give them abundant reward.

آمِیْنَ یَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ۔

aameena yaa rabbal a'alameena

Respond to us; O Lord of the Worlds.

Peace be upon you; O elite of all the Prophets and the Messengers!

alssalamu 'alayka ya man ikhtarahu allahu

Peace be upon you; O he whom Allah has chosen

عَلَى الْخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

'ala alkhalqi ajma 'ina wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

from among all creatures! Allah's mercy andi blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ السَّيِّدِ الْمُصْطَفَى

alssalamu 'ala banati alssayyidi almustafa

Peace be upon the daughters of the Chosen Master!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ الْمُجْتَبَى

alssalamu 'ala banati alnnabiyyi almujtaba

Peace be upon the daughters of the Designate Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ مَنِ اصْطَفَاهُ اللهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ

alssalamu 'ala banati man istafahu allahu fi alssamai

Peace be upon the daughters of him who Allah has chosen in the heavens

وَفَضَّلَهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الُبَرِيِّةِ وَالْوَرَی

wa faddalahu 'ala jami 'i albariyyati walwara

and preferred to all beings and creatures!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى ذُرِّيَّةِ السَّيِّدِ الْجَلِيلِ

alssalamu 'ala dhurriyyati alssayidi aljalili

Peace be upon the offspring of the majestic master

مِنْ نَسْلِ إسْمَاعِيْلَ وَسُلاَلَةِ إبْرَاهِيْمَ الْخَلِيْلِ

min nasli isma 'ila wa sulalati ibrahima alkhalili

from the progeny of Ishmacl and the lineage of Abraham, the Intinate Friend!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ الرَّسُولِ

alssamalu 'ala banati alnnabiyyi alrrasuli

Peace be upon the daughters of the Prophet and Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى أَخْوَاتِ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ الْبَتُولِ

alssalamu 'ala akhawati Fatimata alzzahrai albatuli

Peace be upon the sisters of Fatahimah, the Luminous and Immaculate!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى الذُّرِّيَّةِ الطَّيِّبَةِ الطَّاهِرَةِ

alssalamu 'ala aldhdhurriyyati alttayyibati alttahirat

Peace be upon the chaste and pure offspring

وَالْعِتْرَةِ الزَّاكِيَةِ الزَّاهِرَةِ بَنَاتِ خَاتِمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

wal 'itrati alzzakiyati alzzahirati banati khatimi alnnabiyyina

and the righteous and brilliant issue, daughters of the Seal of Prophets

وَسَيِّدِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

wa sayyidi al-anbiya'i walmursalina

and the master of all Prophets and Messengers,

وَخِيَرَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ أَجْمَعِينَ

wa khiyarati rusuli allahi ajma'ina

and the choice of all messengers of Allah!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى الذُّرِّيَةِ الطَّاهِرَةِ الزَّاكِيَةِ

alssalamu 'ala aldhdhurriyyati alttahirati alzzakiyati

Peace be upon the clean and brilliant offspring

وَالْعِتْرَةِ الْمُصْطَفَوِيَّةِ

wal 'itrati almustafawiyyati

and the issue of the Chosen Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ وَأُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ وَرُقَيَّةَ

alssalamu 'ala zaynaba wa ummi kulthumin wa ruqayyata

Peace be upon Zaynab and Ummu-Kulthkm and Ruqayyah!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى الشَّرِيفَاتِ الأَحْسَابِ

alssalamu 'ala alshsharifati al-ahsabi

Peace be upon the ladies of the most ancestry,

وَالطَاهِرَاتِ الأَنْسَابِ

walttahirati al-ansabi

and of the purest lineage!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ الآبَاءِ الأَعَاظِمِ

alssalamu 'ala banati al-aba'i al-a azimi

Peace be upon the ladies descending from the greatest forefathers,

وَسُلَالَةِ الأَجْدَادِ الأَكَارِمِ الأَفَاخِمِ

wa sulalati al-ajdadi al-akarimi al-afakhimi

and springing from the most generous and most grandfathers; namely,

عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَعَبْدِ مَنَافِ وَهَاشِمٍ

'abdi almuttalibi wa 'abdi manafin wa hashimin

Abd al- Muttalib and 'Abd Manıf and Hashim!

Note on Daughters
The Holy Prophet (SAWA) was survived by his only one biological daughter from Lady Khadijah (AS) who is the greatest woman of all times, Lady Fatimah (SA). He also had three fostered daughters, Ruqayyah, born 20 years before Hijrah and passed away in the 2nd year after Hijrah ; Zaynab, who was born 23 years before Hijrah and dies 8 years after Hijrah and Umm Kulthum who was born 19 years before Hijrah and passed away in the 9th year after Hijrah. These three fostered daughters are mentioned in the books of history as daughters of A’atiqa bint Khowailid, the sister of Lady Khadijah (AS) ( Source)

Hz Aqeel & Hz Abdullah

Aqeel and Jafar at-Tayyar, both are the brothers of Hazrat Ali (a.s.). Abdullah bin Jafar Tayyar was the husband of Lady Zainab. The graves of these two personalities are in Baqee. Recite the Ziarat of these noble personages in the following words: Hz Aqeel & Hz Abdullah

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَیِّدَنَا یَا عَقِیْلَ بْنَ اَبِیْطَالِبٍ

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyedanaa yaa a'qeelabna abee taalebin

Peace be upon you, O our Master, 'Aqil, son of Abiitalib!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ عَمِّ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yabna a'mme rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you, O cousin of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ عَمِّ نَبِیِّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yabna a'mme nabiyyil laahe

Peace be upon you, O cousin of Allah's Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ عَمِّ حَبِیْبِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yabna a'mme habeebil laahe

Peace be upon you, O cousin of Allah's most beloved one!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ عَمِّ الْمُصْطَفٰی

assalaamo a'layka yabna a'mmil mustafaa

Peace be upon you, O cousin of the Chosen Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اَخَا عَلِیٍّ الْمُرْتَضٰی

assalaamo a'layka yaa akhaa a'liyyenil murtazaa

Peace be upon you, O brother of 'Ali, the wellpleased!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی عَبْدِ اللّٰہِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ الطَّیَّارِ

assalaamo a'laa a'bdil laahibne ja'farit tayyare

Peace be upon 'Abdullah, son of Jafar, the one fIying

فِی الْجِنَانِ وَ عَلٰی مَنْ حَوْلَكُمَا مِنْ اَصْحَابِ

fil jenaane wa a'laa man hawlakomaa min ashaabe

in the gardens of Paradise, and on the companions of Allah's Messenger who surround (your tombs)!

رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ رَضِيَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْكُمْ وَ اَرْضَاكُمْ

rasoolil laahe razeyal laaho ta-a'alaa a'nkum wa arzaakum

May Allah be pleased with you all, and may He please you with

اَحْسَنَ الرِّضَا وَ جَعَلَ الْجَنَّۃَ مَنْزِلَكُمْ وَ مَسْكَنَكُمْ

ahsanar rezaa wa ja-a'lal jannata manzelakum wa maskanakum

the most excellent pleasure, and may He decide Paradise to be your house

وَ مَحَلَّكُمْ وَمَأوٰیكُمْ

wa mahallakum wa maawaakum

and dwelling and center and abode!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ۔

assalaamo a'laykum wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you all.

Hz Ibrahim son of Prophet(saws)

Hz Ibrahim son of Prophet(saws)
Ibrahim, the Prophet's (s.a.w.a.) son from his wife Maria Qittiya passed away in childhood, which was a very sad event for the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) so much so that with tearful eyes he said: Although the heart is restless in his sorrow we do not say anything that may enrage Allah. This beloved son of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) is buried in Baqee cemetery. One must stand by his grave and recite his Ziarat as follows:

اَلسَّلامُ عَلى رَسُولِ اللهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلى نَبِيِّ اللهِ

assalaamo a'laa rasoolil laahe assalaamo a'laa nabiyyil laahe

Peace be upon Allah's messenger. Peace be upon Allah's prophet.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلى حَبيبِ اللهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلى صَفِىِّ اللهِ

assalaamo a'laa habeebil laahe assalaamo a'laa safiyyil laahe

Peace be upon Allah's elite. Peace be upon Allah's wellselected one.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلى نَجِيِّ اللهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ

assalaamo a'laa najiyyil laahe assalaamo a'laa mohammadibne

Peace be upon Allah' confidant. Peace be upon Muhammad son of

عَبْدِ اللهِ سَيِّدِ الْاَنْبِياء وَخاتَمِ الْمُرْسَلينَ

a'bdil laahe sayyedil ambeyaaa-e wa khatamil mursaleena

'Abdullah: the master of the Prophets, the seal of the Messengers,

وَخِيَرَةِ اللهِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ في اَرْضِهِ وَسَمائِهِ

wa kheyaratil laahe min khalqehi fee arzehi wa samaaa-ehi

and the best of Allah's created beings in the earth and the skies.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلى جَميعِ اَنْبِيائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ

assalaamo a'laa jamee-e' ambeyaaa-ehi wa rosolehi

Peace be upon all His Prophets and Messengers.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَى الشُّهَداءِ وَالسُّعَداءِ وَالصّالِحينَ

assalaamo alas shohadae was soadae was saaleheena

Peace be upon the martyrs, the happy ones, and the righteous ones.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْنا وَعَلى عِبادِ اللهِ الصّالِحينَ

assalaamo alayena wa a'laa e'baadil laahis saaleheena

Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيَّتُهَا الرُّوحُ الزّاكِيَةُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyatohar roohuz zaakeyato

Peace be upon you, O pure soul.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الشَّريفَةُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyatohan nafsush shareefato

Peace be upon you, O honorable self.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيَّتُهَا السُّلالَةُ الطّاهِرَةُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyatohas solaalatut taaherato

Peace be upon you, O imnlaculate descendant.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيَّتُهَا النَّسَمَةُ الزّاكِيَةُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyatohan nasamatuz zakiyyato

Peace be upon you, O upright person.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ خَيْرِ الْوَرى

assalaamo a'layka yabna khayril waraa

Peace be upon you, O son of the best of all created beings

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ النَبِيِّ الْمُجْتَبى

assalaamo a'layka yabnan nabiyyil mujtabaa

Peace be upon you, O son of the selected Prophet.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الْمَبْعُوثِ اِلى كافَّةِ الْوَرى

assalaamo a'layka yabnal mab-o'ose elaa kaaaf- fatil waraa

Peace be upon you, O son of the envoy to all peoples

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الْبَشيرِ النَّذيرِ

assalaamo a'layka yabnal basheerin nazeere

Peace be upon you, O son of the conveyor of good tidings (to the believers), the warner (against Allah's chastisement)

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ السِّراجِ الْمُنير

assalaamo a'layka yabnas seraajil moneeri

Peace be upon you, O son of the bright torch

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الْمُؤَيَّدِ بِالْقُرآنِ

assalaamo a'layka yabnal moayyate bil-qur-aaane

Peace be upon you, O son of the one supported by the Qur'an

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الْمُرْسَلِ اِلَى الاِنْسِ وَالْجانِّ

assalaamo a'layka yabnal mursale elal inse wal jaaan-ne

Peace be upon you, O son of the one sent to both men and jinn.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ صاحِبِ الرّايَةِ وَالْعَلامَةِ

assalaamo a'layka yabna saahebir raayate wal-a'laamate

Peace be upon you, O son of the holder of the Pennon and the Sign

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الشَّفيعِ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ

assalaamo a'layka yabnash sha-fee-e' yawmal qeyaamate

Peace be upon you, O son of the Intercessor on the Resurrection Day.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ مَنْ حَباهُ اللهُ بِالْكَرامَةِ

assalaamo a'layka yabna man habaahul laaho bil-karaamate

Peace be upon you, O son of him upon wholn Allah has conferred with honor.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ

assalaamo a'layka wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu

Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be up you.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدِ اخْتارَ اللهُ لَكَ دارَ اِنْعامِهِ قَبْلَ

ash-hado annaka qadikh taaral laaho laka daara in-a'amehi qabla

I bear witness t Allah decided for you the Abode of His Bliss before

اَنْ يَكْتُبَ عَلَيْكَ اَحْكامَهُ اَوْ يُكَلِّفَكَ حَلالَهُ وَحَرامَهُ

ayn yaktoba a'layka ahkaamahu aw yokallefaka halaalahu wa haraamahu

He prescribed His rules for you or ordained you to commit to what is deemed lawful and what is deemed unlawful by Him.

فَنَقَلَكَ اِلَيْهِ طَيِّباً زاكِياً مَرْضِيِّاً طاهِراً

fa-naqalaka elayhe tayyeban zaakeyan marziyyan taaheran

He thus moved you near Him while you are immaculate, upright, pleased and purified

مِنْ كُلِّ نَجَس مُقَدَّساً مِنْ كُلِّ دَنَس

min kulle najasin moqaddasan min kulle danasin

for all filths and sanctified against all dirt

وَبَوَّأَكَ جَنَّةَ الْمَأوى وَرَفَعَكَ اِلَى الدَّرَجاتِ الْعُلى

wa bawwa-a-ka jannatal maawaa wa ra-fa-a'ka elad darajaatil o'laa

He lodged you in the Paradisiacal Abode, and elevated you to the uppermost ranks.

وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْكَ صَلاةً تَقَرُّ بِها عَيْنُ رَسُولِهِ

wa sallal laaho a'layka salaatan taqarrobehaa a'yno rasoolehi

May Allah bless you with such a blessings that delight His messenger

وَتُبَلِّغُهُ اَكْبَرَ مَأمُولِهِ

wa toballeghohu akbara maa-moolehi

and make him attain his utmost objective.

اَللّـهُمَّ اجْعَلْ اَفْضَلَ صَلَواتِكَ وَاَزْكاها

allaahummaj-a'l afzala salawaateka wa azkaahaa

O Allah : (please do) render the best and the purest of Your blessings,

وَاَنْمى بَرَكاتِكَ وَاَوْفاها عَلى رَسُولِكَ وَنَبِيِّكَ

wa anmaa barakaateka wa awfaahaa a'laa rasooleka wa nabiyyeka

and the most abundant and the richest of Your benedictions to be upon Your messenger, prophet,

وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ مُحَمَّد خاتَمِ النَّبِيّينَ

wa kheyarateka min khalqeka mohammadin khaatamin nabiyyeena

and the most favorite of Your creatures, namely Muhammad, the seal of the prophets

وَعَلى مَنْ نَسَلَ مِنْ اَوْلادِهِ الطَّيِّبينَ

wa a'laa man nasala min awlaadehit tayyebeena

and upon his immaculate sons

وَعَلى مَنْ خَلَّفَ مِنْ عِتْرَتِهِ الطّاهِرينَ

wa a'laa man khallafa min i'tratehit taahereena

and upon his pure successors from his household;

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ

be rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeena

in the name of Your mercy, O most Merciful of all those who show Mercy.

اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّد صَفِيِّكَ

allaahumma innee as-aloka be-haqqe mohammadin safiyyeka

O Allah : I beseech You in the name of Muhammad, Your elite

وَاِبْراهِيمَ نَجْلِ نَبِيِّكَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ سَعْيي بِهِمْ مَشْكوراً

wa ibraaheema najle nabiyyeka an taj-a'la sa'yee behim mashkooran

and in the name of Ibrahim, the son of Your prophet, that You make my efforts praiseworthy,

وَذَنْبي بَهم مَغفوراً وحياتي بهم سعيدة

wa zambee behim maghfooran wa hayaatee behim sa-e'edatan

my sins forgiven, my life satisfying

وعاقبتي بهم حميدة وحوائجي بهم مَقْضِيَّةً

wa aaqebate behim hameedan wa hawaeje behim maqzeeyan

my end result commendable, my needs settled,

وَاَفْعالِي بِهِمْ مَرْضِيَّةً وَاُمُوري بِهِمْ مَسْعُودَةً

wa afaale behim marziyatan wa omooree behim mas-o'odatan

my deeds pleasant, my affairs blissful

وَشُؤُوني بِهِمْ مَحْمُودَةً

wa sho-oonee behim mahmoodatan

and my matters commended.

اَللّـهُمَّ وَاَحسِنْ لِيَ التَّوْفيقَ

allaahumma wa-ahsin leyat tawfeeqa

O Allah : (please do) grant me remarkable successfulness

وَنَفِّسْ عَنِّي كُلَّ هَمّ وَضيق

wa naffis a'nnee kulla hammin wa zeeqin

and relieve all my griefs and depressions.

اَللّـهُمَّ جَنِّبْني عِقابَكَ

allaahumma jannibnee e'qaabaka

O Allah : (please do) ward off from me your chastisement,

وَامْنَحْني ثَوابَكَ وَاَسْكِنِّي جِنانَكَ

wam-nahnee sawaabaka wa as-kinnee j enaanaka

sign over me Your rewards, allow me to settle in the gardens of your Paradise,

وَارْزُقْني رِضْوانَكَ وَاَمانَكَ

war-zuqnee rizwaanaka wa amaanaka

bestow upon me Your pleasure and security,

وَاَشْرِكْ لي في صالِح دُعائي والِدَىَّ وَوَلَدي

wa ashrik lee fee saalehe do-a'aa-ee waaledayya wa wuldee

and allow my acceptable supplications to include my parents, my sons,

وَجَميعَ الْمُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤْمِناتِ

wa jamee-a'l moa-meneena wal-moa-menaatil

and all believing men and women,

الْاَحْياءَ مِنْهُمْ وَالْاَمْواتَ

ahyaaa-a minhum wal-amwaata

the alive and the dead,

اِنَّكَ وَلِيُّ الْباقِياتِ الصّالِحاتِ

innaka waliyyul baaqeyaatis saalehaate

for You are verily the Lord of the ever-abiding, good works

آمينَ رَبَّ الْعالَمينَ

aameena rabbal a'alameena.

Respond to me, O Lord of the Worlds.

Abbas Ibn Abdul Muttalib

Ziarat of Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (a.s.)
The Prophet's uncle, Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (a.s.) holds an esteemed position. He has given many sacrifices for Islam. Recite his Ziarat in the following way:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَمَّ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا صَاحِبَ السِّقَایَۃِ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ۔

assalaamo a'layka yaa a'bbaasubno a'bdil muttalebe assalaamo a'layka yaa a'mma rasoolil laahe assalaamo a'layka yaa saahebas seqaayate wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

---

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَيِّدَنَا يَا عَبَّاسُ يَا عَمَّ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyidana yaa a'bbaaso yaa a'mma rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you; O our Master, al-Abbas! O uncle of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَمَّ نَبِيِّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa a'mma nabiyyil-laahe

Peace be upon you; O uncle of Allah's prophet !

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَمَّ حَبِيْبِ اللهِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa a'mma habibil-laahe

Peace be upon you; O uncle of Allah's most beloved!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَمَّ الْمُصْطَفَي

assalaamo a'layka yaa a'mma al-mustafa

Peace be upon you; O uncle of the chosen prophet !

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَيَّدَنَا الاِمَامُ الْحَسَنُ الْمُجْتَبَي

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyidana al-imamu al-hasanu al-mujtaba

Peace be upon you; O our Master, Imam al-Hasan the Designate!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَيَّدَنَا الاِمَامُ زَيَنُ الْعَابِدِيْنَ

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyidana al-imamu zaynul abedeena

Peace be upon you; O our Master, the Imam, the adornment of worshippers!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَيَّدَنَا الاِمَامُ مُحَمَّدٌ البَاقِرُ

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyidana al-imamu Muhammadun al-baqiru

Peace be upon you; O our Master, Imam Muhammad, who split knowledge!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَيَّدَنَا الاِمَامُ جَعْفَرٌ الصَّادِقُ

assalaamo a'layka yaa sayyidana al-imamu ja'farun al-sssdiqu

Peace be upon you; O our Master, Imam Ja'afar, the veracious!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ النُّبُوَّةِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa ahlabayti al-nnubuwati

Peace be upon you all; O household of Prophethood

وَمَعْدِنَ الرِّسَا لَةِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْكُمْ

wa ma'denar resaalati raziya-llahu ankum

and essence of the (divine) Message! May Allah be pleased with you all,

وَأَرْضَاكُمْ أَحْسَنَ الرَّضَا

wa arzakum ahsana ar-riza

in the best manner of pleasure

وَجَعَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مََثْوَاكُمْ وَمَسْكَنَكُمْ

wa ja'ala al-jannata maswakum wa maskanakum

and may He render Paradise to be your abode and dwelling

وَمَحَلَّكُمْ وَمَأوَاكُمْ

wa mahallakum wa ma'wakum

and settlement and domicile.

السَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ۔

assalaamo alaykum wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

Peace be upon you all. So be Allah's mercy and blessings.

Hurra and Ohad Martyrs

Hurra Martyrs

Event of Hurrah in Baqee
Baqee is having an eventful history and a large number of holy warriors are buried therein. These include those who were injured during the Battle of Ohod but they achieved martyrdom after returning to Medina. Then they were buried in Baqee. The martyrs of the Event of Hurrah are also buried in Baqee. After the tragedy of Kerbala and the martyrdom of Imam Husain (a.s.) and his companions, the people of Medina revolted against the Umayyad rule and dethroned the governor of Medina. Yazid sent a large army to suppress the revolt and his army plundered Medina for three days continuously, killing people and looting their property and the honor of their women. Thousands perished in this attack including 80 companions of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and 700 children of the Ansaar and Mohaajereen (Helpers and Emigrants). This incident is famous as "Hurrah". The martyrs of this attack are buried in Baqee. Recite the Ziarat of the martyrs of Ohod and the event of Hurrah in the following manner:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمْ یَا شُہْدَآئُ یَا سُعَدَآئُ یَا نُجَبَآئُ

assalaamo a'laykum yaa shohadaaa-o yaa so-a'a-daaa-o yaa nojabaaa-o

Peace be upon you all; O martyrs, O delighted, O pristine,

یَا نُقَبَآئُ یَا اَھْلَ الصِّدْقِ وَ الْوَفَآئِ

yaa noqabaaa-o yaa ahlas sidqe wal-wafaaa-e

O chiefs, o people of honesty and faithfulness!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمْ یَا مُجَاہِدُوْنَ فِی سَبِیْلِ اللّٰہِ حَقَّ جِہَادِہٖ

assalaamo a'laykum yaa mojaahedoona fee sabeelil laahe haqqa j ehaadehi

Peace be upon you; O strivers in the way of Allah as is due to Him!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَی الدَّارِ

assalaamo a'laykum bemaa sabartum fa-ne'ma u'qbad daare

Peace be upon you because you were constant; how excellent is then the issue of the abode!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمْ یَا شُہْدَآئُ كَآفَّۃً عَآمَّۃً

assalaamo a'laykum yaa sho-hadaaa-o kaaaffatan aaammatan

Peace be upon you, O martyrs all of you altogether!

وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ۔

wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

Paternal Aunts

Paternal Aunts

Ziarat of the Paternal Aunts (Father's sisters) of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) The graves of these ladies: Safiya and Ateka and that of Hazrat Abbas's (a.s.) mother, Ummul Baneen are near each other in Baqee. Safiya was a very brave and virtuous lady and she was also a poetess. She accepted Islam in the initial stage. She paid allegiance to the Prophet (s.a.) and migrated to Medina with him. She was also present in the Battles of Ohod and Khandaq. She passed away in 20 A.H. at the age of 73. Ateka was a very honest lady. She is included amongst the companions of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and she also migrated to Medina with him. Recite the Ziarat of these two aunts

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمَا یَا عَمَّتَیْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'laykomaa yaa a'mmatay rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon both of you; O parental aunts of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمَا یَا عَمَّتَیْ نَبِیِّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'laykomaa yaa a'mmatay nabiyyil laahe

Peace be upon both of you; 0 paternal aunts of Allah's Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمَا یَا عَمَّتَیْ حَبِیْبِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'laykomaa yaa a'mmatay habeebil laahe

Peace be upon both of you; 0 paternal aunts of Allah's most beloved one!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكُمَا یَا عَمَّتَیِ الْمُصْطَفٰی

assalaamo a'laykomaa yaa a'mmatayil mustafaa

Peace be upon . both of you; 0 paternal aunts of the Chosen Prophet!

رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْكُمَا وَ جَعَلَ الجَنَّۃَ مَنْزِلَكُمَا

razeyallaaho ta-a'alaa a'nkomaa wa ja-a'lal jannata manzelakomaa

May Allah be pleased with both of you and decide Paradise to be ' your abode.

وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ

wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

Hz Ismail son of Imam Sadiq (as)

Hz Ismail son of Imam Sadiq (as)

Ziarat of Ismail bin Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.) Ismail, was the elder son of Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.). Some Shias considered him as the seventh Imam. This sect is known as Ismailis, although the deceased himself had belief in the Imamate of his brother, Imam Musa Kazim (a.s.). Imam Kazim (a.s.) also respected him.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی جَدِّكَ الْمُصْطَفٰی

assalaamo a'laa jaddekal mustafaa

Peace be upon your forefather, the Chosen Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی اَبِیْكَ الْمُرْتَضَی الرِّضَا

assalaamo a'laa abeekal murtazar rezaa

Peace be upon your father, the well-pleased!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَی السَّیِّدَیْنِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَیْنِ

assalaamo a'las sayyedaynil hasane wal husayne

Peace be upon the two chiefs, al-Hasan and al-Husayn!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی خَدِیْجَۃَ اُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ

assalaamo a'laa khadeejata ummil moa-meneena

Peace be upon Khadijah, the mother of the believers,

اُمِّ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَآئِ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

umme sayyedate nesaaa-il a'alameena

and mother of the doyenne of the women of the world!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی فَاطِمَۃَ اُمَّ الْاَئِمَّۃِ الطَّاہِرِیْنَ

assalaamo a'laa faatemata ummal a-immatit taahereena

Peace be upon Fatimah, the mother of the Immaculate Imams!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَی النُّفُوْسِ الْفَاخِرَۃِ بُحُوْرِ الْعُلُوْمِ الزَّاخِرَۃِ

assalaamo a'lan nofoosil faakherate bohooril o'loomiz zaakherate

Peace be upon the excellent souls, the oceans of the abundant knowledge,

شُفَعَآئِیْ فِی الآْخِرَۃِ وَ اَوْلِیَآئِیْ عِنْدَ عَوْدِ الرُّوْحِ

sho-fa-a'aa-ee fil aakherate wa awleyaaa-ee i'nda a'wdir roohe

my interceders in the Hereafter, and my masters when the soul shall be returned

اِلَی الْعِظَامِ النَّخِرَۃِ اَئِمَّۃِ الْخَلْقِ وَ وُلاَۃِ الْخَلْقِ

elal e'zaamin nakherate a-immatil khalqe wa wolaatil khalqe

to the rotten bones; namely, the leaders of the creatures and the true masters!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّہَا الشَّخْصُ الشَّرِیْفُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyohash shaksush shareeo

Peace be upon you, 0 honorable person,

اِسْمَاعِیْلُ بْنُ مَوْلاَنَا جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ نِالصَّادِقِ الطَّاہِرِ الْكَرِیْمِ

ismaa-e'elubno mawlaanaa ja'faribne mohammadenis saadeqit taaheril kareeme

Ismail, son of our master, Ja 'far son of Muhammad, the veracious, immaculate, and noble!

اَشْہَدُ اَنْ لاَّ اِلٰہَ اِلاَّ اللّٰہُ وَ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُہٗ

ash-hado an laa elaaha illal laaho wa anna mohammadn a'bdohu

I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant

وَ مُصْطَفٰیہُ وَ اَنَّ عَلِیًّا وَلِیُّہٗ وَ مُجْتَبیٰہُ

wa mustafaaho wa anna a'liyyan waliyyohu wa mujtabaaho

and chosen Prophet, and that 'Ali is His intimate and selected servant,

اَنَّ الْاِمَامَۃَ فِی وُلْدِہٖ اِلٰی یَوْمِ الدِّیْنِ

annal imaamata fee wuldehi elaa yawmid deene

and that Imamate is for his descendants up to the Judgment Day.

نَعْلَمُ ذٰلِكَ عِلْمَ الْیَقِیْنِ

na'lamo zaaleka i'lmal yaqeene

We recognize so with certain knowledge

وَ نَحْنُ لِذٰلِكَ مُعْتَقِدُوْنَ وَ فِیْ نَصْرِہِمْ مُجْتَہِدُوْنَ۔

wa nahno le-zaaleka mo'taqedoona wa fee nasrehim mujtahedoona.

and we believe in so and we exert all our efforts in supporting them.

Sy Halima Sadiya

Lady Haleema Sadiya
Ziarat of Haleemah Sa'diyyah (r.a.) Haleemah Sa'diyyah was the foster mother of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). She took the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) from his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib (a.s.) to her tribe outside Mecca. She nursed him and brought him up there. She was a very kind and affectionate lady. She had the esteemed honour of being the foster mother of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) . The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) also used to respect her. The Ziarat of this respectable lady is recited in the following words:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا اُمَّ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layke yaa umma rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you; O mother of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا اُمَّ صَفِیِّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layke yaa umma safiyyil laahe

Peace be upon you; O mother of Allah's Elite!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا اُمَّ حَبِیْبِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layke yaa umma habeebil laahe

Peace be upon you; O mother of Allah's most beloved one !

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا اُمَّ الْمُصْطَفٰی

assalaamo a'layke yaa ummal mustafaa

Peace be upon you; O mother of the Chosen Prophet!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا مُرْضِعَۃَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layke yaa murze-a'ta rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you; O nurse of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكِ یَا حَلِیْمَۃَ السَّعْدِیَّۃِ

assalaamo a'layke yaa haleematas sa'diyyate

Peace be upon you; O nurse of Allah's Messenger!

فَرَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی

fa-razeyal laaho ta-a'alaa

May Allah be pleased with you.

عَنْكِ وَ اَرْضَاكِ وَ جَعَلَ الْجَنَّۃَ مَنْزِلَكِ

a'nke wa arzaake wa ja-a'lal jannata manzelake

and may He please you and may He decide Paradise to be your house and abode!

وَ مَأوَاكِ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ

wa maawaake wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.

Ziarat Hazrat Abdullah Father of Holy Prophet(saws)between Baqi and Mosque

The Prophet's (s.a.w.a.) father passed away on the return journey from Syria before the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was born. His grave is near the 'Saabiq Baazaar'. In the present time it is approximately opposite 'Baabus Salaam', at the place of prayer. His Ziarat is as follows:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَلِیَّ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa waliyyal laahe

Peace be upon you; O Allah's intimate servant!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اَمِیْنَ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa ameenal laahe

Peace be upon you; O Allah's trustee!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا نُوْرَ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa nooral laahe

Peace be upon you; O Allah's light!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا مُسْتَوْدَعَ نُوْرِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa mustawda-a' noore rasoolil laahe

Peace be upon you; O store of the light of Allah's Messenger!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَالِدَ خَاتَمِ الْاَنْبِیَآئِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa waaleda khaatamil ambeyaaa-e

Peace be upon you; O father of the Seal of the Prophets!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا مَنِ انْتَہٰی اِلَیْہِ الْوَدِیْعَۃُ وَ الْاَمَانَۃُ الْمَنِیْعَۃُ

assalaamo a'layka yaa manin-tahaa elayhil wadee-a'to wal amaanatul manee-a'to

Peace be upon you; O he to whom the trust and the invulnerable deposit was finally relegated!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا مَنْ اَوْدَعَ اللّٰہُ فِیْ صُلْبِہِ

assalaamo a'layka yaa man aw-da-a'l laaho fee sulbehit

Peace be upon you; O he in whose loins,

الطَّیِّبِ الطَّاہِرِ الْمَكِیْنِ نُوْرَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ الصَّادِقَ الْاَمِیْنِ

tayyebut taaheril makeene noora rasoolil laahis saadeqil ameene

the pure, immaculate, and honorable, Allah deposited the light of Allah's Messenger, the veracious and trustworthy!

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَالِدَ سَیِّدِ الْاَنْبِیَآئِ وَ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ

assalaamo a'layka yaa waaleda sayyedil ambeyaaa-e wal-mursaleena

Peace be upon you; O father of the master of the Prophets and Messengers!

اَشْہَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ حَفِظْتَ الْوَصِیَّۃَ

ash-hado annaka qad hafiztal wasiyyata

I bear witness that you performed the instruction literally

وَ اَدَّیْتَ الْاَمَانَۃَ عَنْ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ فِیْ رَسُوْلِہٖ

wa addaytal amaanata a'n rabbil a'alameena fee rasoolehi

and fulfilled the trust of the Lord of the Worlds as regarding His messenger,

وَ كُنْتَ فِیْ دِیْنِكَ عَلٰی یَقِیْنٍ

wa kunta fee deeneka a'laa yaqeene

and you were of full confidence concerning youur faith.

وَ اَشْہَدُ اَنَّكَ اتَّبَعْتَ دِیْنَ اللّٰہِ عَلٰی مِنْہَاجِ جَدِّكَ

wa ash-hado annakat ta-ba'ta deenal laahe a'laa minhaaj e jaddeka

And I bear witness that you followed the religion of Allah, following the course of your forefather,

اِبْرَاہِیْمَ خَلِیْلِ اللّٰہِ فِیْ حَیَاتِكَ وَ بَعْدَ وَفَاتِكَ

ibraaheema khaleelil laahe fee hayaateka wa ba'da wafaateka

Abraham, the intimate friend of Allah, in your lifetime and after your demise,

عَلٰی مَرْضَاتِ اللّٰہِ فِی رَسُوْلِہٖ

a'laa marzaatil laahe fee rasoolehi

gaining the pleasure of Allah through His messenger,

وَ اَقْرَرْتَ وَ صَدَّقْتَ بِنُبُوَّۃِ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

wa aqrarta wa saddaqta be-nobuwwate rasoolil laahe

and you professed and believed in the prophethood of Allah's Messenger,

صَلَّی اللّٰہِ عَلَیْہِ وَ آلِہٖ

sallal laaho a'layhe wa aalehi

may Allah's peace be upon him,

وَ وِلاَیَۃِ اَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ عَلَیْہِ السَّلاَمُ

wa welaayate ameeril moa-meneena a'layhis salaamo

and the leadership of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him,

وَ الْاَئِمَّۃِ الطَّاہِرِیْنَ عَلَیْہِمُ السَّلاَمُ

wal-a-immatit taahereena a'layhemus salaamo

and of the Immaculate Imams, peace be upon them.

فَصَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْكَ حَیًّا وَ مَیِّتًا وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَكَاتُہٗ

fa-sallal laaho a'layka hayyan wa mayyetan wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu

So, may Allah bless you in your life and after your death. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

Second Form of Visiting
Peace be upon you; O owner of the original glory. Peace be upon you; O best branch of the tree of the Friend of Allah.

First mosque of Islam. The Prophet [s] spent more than 20 nights here (after migrating) praying qasr while waiting for Imam Ali [a]. It is mentioned in the Qur'an as the mosque founded on piety and devoutness
Ayat specifically for this mosque:

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ یَعْمُرُ الْمَسَاجِدَ یَقْرَئُ الْقُرْاٰنَ قَائِمًا وَ قَاعِدًا
لَمَسْجِدٌ اُسِّسَ عَلَی التَّقْوٰی مِنْ اَوَّلِ یَوْمٍ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ فِیْہِ فِیْہِ رِجَالٌ یُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ یَتَطَہَّرُوْا وَ اللّٰہُ یُحِبُّ الْمُطَّہِّرِیْنَ۔

The Mosque of Quba is renovated and extended many times: Muslims have a great regard for it. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) used to visit the Mosque of Quba every Monday and pray there. A tradition from him says that "One who performs wuzu at his house and goes to the Mosque of Quba and prays two units of prayer will get the reward of an Umrah."
Also, Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said, "When you visit the mosques around Medina, go to the Mosque of Quba first and pray there as far as possible."

Aamals of Quba Masjid
Upon entering the Mosque one should perform two rakats prayer of respect. Then recite the Tasbeeh of Hazrat Fatemah Zahra (s.a.). And recite the Ziarat-e-Jaameah and supplicate after that. It is better to supplicate as follows:

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ فِی كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ عَلٰی صَدْرِ نَبِیِّكَ الْمُرْسَلِ: ’لَمَسْجِدٌ اُسِّسَ عَلَی التَّقْوٰی مِنْ اَوَّلِ یَوْمٍ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ فِیْہِ فِیْہِ رِجَالٌ یُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ یَتَطَہَّرُوْا وَ اللّٰہُ یُحِبُّ الْمُطَّہِّرِیْنَ اَللّٰہُمَّ طَہِّرْ قُلُوْبَنَا مِنَ النِّفَاقِ وَ اَعْمَالَنَا مِنَ الرِّیَا وَ فُرُوْجَنَا مِنَ الزِّنَا وَ اَلْسِنَتَنَا مِنَ الْكِذْبِ وَ الْغِیْبَۃِ وَ اَعْیُنَنَا مِنَ الْخِیَانَۃِ فَاِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَۃَ الْاَعْیُنِ وَ مَا تُخْفِی الصُّدُوْرُ رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا اَنْفُسَنَا وَ اِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَ تَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِیْنَ۔

allaahumma innaka qulta wa qawlokal haqqo fee ketaabekal munzale a'laa sadre nabiyyekal mursale: 'la-masjedun ussesa a'lat taqwaa min awwale yawmin ahaqqo an taqooma feehe, feehe rejaalun yohibboona ayn yata-tah-haroo wallaaho yohibbul muttahereen' allaahumma tahhir qoloobana minan nefaaqe wa a-a'maalanaa menar reyaa wa foroojanaa menaz zenaa wa alsenatanaa menal kizbe wal-gheebate wa a-a'yonanaa menal kheyaanate fa-innaka ta'lamo khaa-enatal a-a'yone wa maa tukhfis sodooro rabbanaa zalamnaa anfosanaa wa in lam tagh-fir lanaa wa tar-hamnaa la-nakoonannaa menal khaasereena.

Well of the Prophet [s]
Infront of Masjid Quba, is a sweet-water well that is now closed. The Prophet [s]'s ring fell into this well hence the name Bi'ru al-Khatam (khatam = ring). It is also called Bi'ru Tufla because at first its water was salty but when the Holy Prophet [s] spat into it, it changed to sweet refreshing water. There was a place of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) behind this mosque and a salty water well in the front. There is no sign of this well today. It is said that the finger-ring of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had fallen in it. Hence it is called 'Chahe Angushtari' Bi'ru al-Khatam (khatam = ring)(well of finger-ring) while it is also called 'Chahe Abe Dahaan' (Well of saliva). It is said that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had put his saliva in this well because of which its water became sweet.,hence it was called Bi'ru Tufla also
Mashrabat Umm Ibrahim
Joined to Masjid Quba is "Mashrabat Ummu Ibrahim". This is the room of the Prophet [s]'s wife Mariah Qibtwiyya (Umm Ibrahim). The Prophet [s] used to live and pray here

A group of hyprocrites constructed a mosque in 9th Hijri so that they could oppose Islam and Muslims. The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was asked to pray in it for its inauguration and as an offering. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said that he would do so on a suitable occasion. But the revelation of the verse... wal ladinat Takhad'u Masjidan Z'iraran wa kufran...' destroyed their plans and the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) ordered to demolish it.

2.Masjid Qiblatain

3.Masjid-e-Zu-Qiblatain (Mosque of Two Qiblas).The mosque where the Holy Prophet [s] was commanded to change his qibla from Masjid al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) to the Holy Ka'aba (Makkah)
In the sixth month of 1st Hijri, the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) visited the tribe of Bani Saalim which is in the north-west of Medina on invitation by Umme Bashar. As usual, he prayed two units of Zohr prayer facing Bayt-ul-Muqaddas when Allah ordered him to face Kaba. He continued the remaining prayer facing Kaba. After that, Kaba became Qiblah of Muslims forever. Hence this mosque is called 'Masjid-e-D'uqiblatan' or 'Masjid-e-Qiblatain' (The Mosque of Two Qiblas). This mosque is a little away from Mosque of Fatah towards the west.
This is a verse among the verses revealed on this incident.

قَدْ نَرٰی تَقَلُّبَ وَجْہِكَ فِی السَّمَآئِ فَلَنُوَلِّیَنَّكَ قِبْلَۃً تَرْضٰیہَا فَوَلِّ وَجْہَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَ حَیْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوْا وُجُوْہَكُمْ شَطْرَہٗ…۔

"Earlier there were two arches (Mehrab) opposite to each other - one facing Kaaba and another Bayt-ul-Muqaddas. Unfortunately, only one arch remained when the renovation of this mosque was done a few years ago. The first signs of this incident were erased."
It is mustahab (recommended) to pray 2 rakats Namaz of respect in this Mosque. It is better to recite the following Dua after the prayers:

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنَّ ہٰذَا مَسْجِدُ الْقِبْلَتَیْنِ وَ مُصَلّٰی نَبِیِّنَا وَ حَبِیْبِنَا وَ سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَ آلِہٖ وَ سَلَّمَ اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ فِیْ كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ عَلٰی صَدْرِ نَبِیِّكَ الْمُرْسَلِ: ’قَدْ نَرٰی تَقَلُّبَ وَجْہِكَ فِی السَّمَآئِ فَلَنُوَلِّیَنَّكَ قِبْلَۃً تَرْضٰیہَا فَوَلِّ وَجْہَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ‘ اَللّٰہُمَّ كَمَا بَلَّغْتَنَا فِی الدُّنْیَا زِیَارَتَہٗ وَ مَآثِرَہُ الشَّرِیْفَۃَ فَلاَ تُحْرِمْنَا یَا اَللّٰہُ فِی الآْخِرَۃِ مِنْ فَضْلِ شَفَاعَۃِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَ آلِہٖ وَ سَلَّمَ وَ احْشُرْنَا فِی زُمْرَتِہٖ وَ تَحْتَ لِوَآئِہٖ وَ اَمِتْنَا عَلٰی مَحَبَّتِہٖ وَ سُنَّتِہٖ وَ اسْقِنَا مِنْ حَوْضِہِ الْمَوْرِدِ بِیَدِہِ الشَّرِیْفَۃِ شُرْبَۃً ہَنِیْئَۃً مَرِیْئَۃً لاَ نَظْمَأُ بَعْدَہَا اَبَدًا اِنَّكَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْئٍ قَدِیْرٌ۔

allaahumma inna haazaa masjedul qiblatayne wa mosallaa nabiyyenaa wa habeebenaa wa sayyedenaa mohammadin sallal laaho a'layhe wa aalehi wa sallama allaahumma innaka qulta wa qawlokal haqqo fee ketaabekal munzale a'laa sadre nabiyyekal mursale: 'qad naraa taqalloba wajhaqa fis-samaaa-e fa-la-nowalleyannaka qiblatan tarzaahaa fa-walle wajhaka shatral masjedil haraame' allaahumma kamaa ballaghtanaa fid dunyaa zeyaaratahu wa maaa-serahush shareefata falaa tohrimnaa yaa allaaho fil aakherate min fazle shafaa-a'te mohammadin sallal laaho a'layhe wa aalhe wa sallama wah-shurnaa fee zumratehi wa tahta lewaaa-ehi wa amitnaa a'laa mahabbatehi wa sunnatehi was-qenaa min hawzehil mawrede be-yadehish shareefate sharbatan hanee-atan maree-atan laa taz-ma-o ba'dahaa abadan innaka a'laa kulle shay-in qadeerun.

3.Masjid-e-Fath (Masjid-e-Ahzaab)-Khandaq

3.Masjid-e-Fath (Masjid-e-Ahzaab)( "mosque of victory") is at the top of a mountain. This is named after the Muslims victory in the Battle of Khandaq
There are many small mosques on the edge of Sala'kahar which indicate the map of the Battle of Khandaq. The army of Islam had camped here. Later a mosque was built here and it became famous with the name of Masjid-e-Fath. It is said that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed for the victory of Muslims here and it was here that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) got the news of victory of Muslims. Hence it is named so. The famous warrior of Arab, Amr bin Abdewad was killed by Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib in this very battle. It is written that the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said on this occasion:

ضَرْبَۃُ عَلِیٍّ یَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ خَیْرٌ مِّنْ عِبَادَۃِ الثَّقَلَیْنِ۔

"A blow of Ali on the day of khandaq is better than the worship of Jinns and men.''

It is recommended to pray 2 rakats Namaz of respect and after that recite the following Dua:

یَا صِرَیْخَ الْمَكْرُوْبِیْنَ وَ یَا مُجِیْبَ دَعْوَۃِ الْمُضْطَرِّیْنَ وَ یَا مُغِیْثَ الْمَہْمُوْمِیْنَ اِكْشِفْ عَنِّیْ ضُرِّیْ وَ ہَمِّیْ وَ كَرْبِیْ وَ غَمِّیْ كَمَا كَشَفْتَ عَنْ نَبِیِّكَ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَ آلِہٖ ہَمَّہٗ وَ كَفَیْتَہٗ ہَوْلَ عَدُوِّہٖ وَ اكْفِنِیْ مَا اَہَمَّنِیْ مِنْ اَمْرِ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَۃِ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔

yaa saree-khal makroobeena wa yaa mojeeba da'watil muztarreena wa yaa moghee-sal mahmoomeena ikshif a'nnee zurree wa hammee wa karbee wa ghammee kamaa ka-shafta a'n nabiyyeka sallal laaho a'layhe wa aalehi hammahu wa kafaytahu hawla a'duwwehi wak-fenee maa ahammanee min amrid dunyaa wal aakherate yaa arhamar raahemeena.

There are some small Masjids near Masjid-e-Fath: Masjid-e-Ali (a.s.), Masjid-e-Fatemah (s.a.), Masjid-e-Salmaan (r.a.), Masjid-e-Umar and Masjid-e-Abu Bakr. It is better to perform 2 rakats Namaz of respect in each mosque.

Dua in Masjid-e-Ejaabah
It is the also known as Masjid-e- Mobaahelah. On 24th Zilhajj the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had done Mobaahelah with the Christians of Najraan. After 2 rakats namaz of respect in Masjid-e-Ejaabah recite the following Dua:

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ صَبْرَ الشَّاكِرِیْنَ لَكَ وَ عَمَلَ الْخَآئِفِیْنَ مِنْكَ وَ یَقِیْنَ الْعَابِدِیْنَ لَكَ اَللّٰہُمَّ اَنْتَ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ وَ اَنَا عَبْدُكَ الْبَآئِسُ الْفَقِیْرُ اَنْتَ الْغَنِیُّ الْحَمِیْدُ وَ اَنَا الْعَبْدُ الذَّلِیْلُ اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ امْنُنْ بِغِنَاكَ عَلٰی فَقْرِیْ وَ بِحِلْمِكَ عَلٰی جَہْلِیْ وَ بِقُوَّتِكَ عَلٰی ضَعْفِیْ یَا قَوِیُّ یَا عَزِیْزُ اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِہِ الْاَوْصِیَآئِ الْمَرْضِیِّیْنَ وَ اكْفِنِیْ مَا اَہَمَّنِیْ مِنْ اَمْرِ الدُّنْیَا وَ الآْخِرَۃِ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔

allaahumma innee as-aloka sabrash shaakereena laka wa a'malal khaaa-efeena minka wa yaqeenal a'abedeena laka allaahumma antal a'liyyul a'zeemo wa anaa a'bdokal baaa-e-sul faqeero antal ghaniyyul hameedo wa anal a'bduz zaleelo allaahumma salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wam-nun be-ghenaaka a'laa faqree wa be-hilmeka a'laa jahlee wa be-quwwateka a'laa za'-fee wa aalehil awseyaaa-il marziyyeena wak-fenee maa ahammanee min amrin dunyaa wal aakherate yaa arhamar raahemeena.

It is situated in the eastern part of Masjid Quba. It is named after a palm tree that used to be at the place. It is also called Masjid Nakhl. Here is where the sun was brought back for Imam Ali's to pray Asr which he missed because the Prophet [s] was sleeping on his lap

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ الذَّبِيْحِ اِسْمٰعِيْلَ

Assalaamo a’layka ya waaresaz zabeehe ismaae’ela

Peace be upon you; O inheritor of the slain prophet, Ishmael.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ اَهْلَكَ اللهُ بِدُعَائِهِ اَصْحَابَ الْفِيْلَ

Assalaamo a’layka yaa man ahlakallaaho be doa’a-ehi ashaabal feela

Peace be upon you; O on account of whose prayer, Allah annihilated the owners of the elephant,

وَ جَعَلَ كَيْدَهُمْ فِىْ تَضْلِيْلٍ

wa ja-a’la kaydahun fee tazleelin

caused their war to end in confusion,

وَ اَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْراً اَبَابِيْلَ

wa arsala a’layhim tayran abaabeela

and sent down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, abäbila casting against them stones of baked clay.

اَلسَّلاَمُ يَا سَاقِىَ الْحَجِيْجِ وَ حَافِرَ زَمْزَمَ

Assalaamo yaa saaqeyal hajeeje wa haafera zamzama

Peace be upon you; O waterer of the pilgrims and digger of Zamzam Spring.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ طَافَ حَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ

assalaamo a’layka ya man taafa hawlal ka’bate

Peace be upon you; O he who circumambulated the Ka bah

وَ جَعَلَ سَبْعَةَ اَشْوَاطٍ

wa ja-a’la saba’ta ashwaatin

and decided circumanmbulation to be seven rounds.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُوْرَ الْحَرَمِ وَابْنَ هَاشِمٍ

Assalaamo a’layka yaa nooral harame wabna haash

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الغُصْنُ اَلمُثْمِرُ مِنْ شَجَرَةِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ اَلخَلِيْلِ

Assalaamo a’layka ayyuha gusno almusmero min shajarate Ibrahim al-khaleel

Peace be upon you; O fruitful branch of the tree of Abraham, the friend (of Allah).

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَدَّ خَيْرِ الوَرَىَ

Assalaamo a’layka ya jadda khayre-alwarai

Peace be upon you; O grandfather of the best of the created beings.

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الأَنْبِيَآءِ الأَصْفِيَآءِ

Assalaamo a’layka yabna al-anbeyae al-asfeyae

Peace be upon you; O son of the elite Prophets.

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ الأَوْصِيَآءِ اَلأَوْلِيَآءِ

Assalaamo a’layka yabna al-awseyae al-awliyae

Peace be upon you; O son of the saintly successorss (of prophets).

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا لسَّيَّدَ الحَرَمِ

Assalaamo a’layka ya sayyida al-harame

Peace be upon you; O chief of the Holy Precinct.

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَاوَارِثَ مَقَامِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ

Assalaamo a’layka ya waresa maqame Ibrahim

Peace be upon you; O inheritor of Abraham's Standing-place.

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبِ بَيْتِ اللهِ اَلعَظِيْم

Assalaamo a’layka ya sahebe baytillahe al-azeem

Peace be upon you; O supervisor of the House of Allah the All-great.

اَسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى آبَائِكَ وَاَبْنَائِكَ الظَّهِرِيْنَ

Assalaamo a’layka wa ala aabaek wa abnaaekaz-zahereen

Peace be upon you and upon your immaculate fathers.

وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

wa rahmatullaahe wa barakaatohu.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ خَصَّهَا اللهُ بِأَعْلىَ الشَّرَفِ

Assalaamo a’layka ya man khassahallaho be a'las-sharafe

Peace be upon you; O she whom Almighty Allah gave exclusively the most elevated honor.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ سَطَعَ مِنْ جَبِيْنَهَا نُورُ سَيِّدِ الْأَنْبِيَآءِ فَاضَاءَتْ بِهِ أَلْأَرْضُ وَالسَّمَآءُ

Assalaamo a’layka ya man sata-a min jabinaha nooro sayyedil-anbiyaae fa za'at behi al-arzo wassaamo

Peace be upon you; O she from whose forehead, the light of the Master of Prophets shone; So, the earth and the heavens were up.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَزَلَتْ لِأَجْلِهَا المَلاَئِكَةُ

Assalaamo a’layka ya man nazalat le-ajleha malaaekato

Peace be upon you; O she for whom the angels descended,

وَضُرِبَتْ لَهَا حُجُبُ الجَنَّةِ

wa zorebat laha hojobul-jannate

and screens of Paradise were established to cover her.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَزَلَتْ لِخِدْمَتِهَا الحُورُ العَينُ

Assalaamo a’layka ya man nazalat lekhidmatehal-hoorul'eno

Peace be upon you; O she for whom the women of Paradise descended to serve her,

وَسَقَيْنَهَا مِنْ شَرَابِ الجَنَّةِ

wa saqainaha min sharaabil-jannate

they served her from the drink of Paradise,

وَبَشَّرْنَهَا بِوِلاَدَةِ خَيْرِ الْأَنْبِيآءِ

wa bashsharnaha beweladate khairil-anbeyaae

and gave her the good tidings of the wa birth of the Best of Prophets.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أُمَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ

Assalaamo a’layka ya umma rasoolillahe

Peace be upon you; O mother of the Messenger of Allah.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أُمَّ حَبِيْبِ اللهِ

Assalaamo a’layka ya umma habibillahe

Peace be upon you; O mother of the most beloved by Allah.

فَهَنِيْئاً لَكِ بِمَا آتَكِ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِ

fa-haneean laka bema atakillaho min fazle

Congratulations for the favor that Allah has given you.

وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ وَعَلىَ رَسُولِ اللهِ

was-salamo a’layka wa ala rasoolillahe

Peace be upon you and upon the Messenger of Allah,

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

salaallaaho alayhe wa aalehi wa rahmatullaahe wa barakaatohu.

Allah's blessings be upon him and his Household. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

Assalaamo a’layka ya sayyadana ya Qasemubna rasoolillahe

Peace be upon you; O our master, al-Qäsim, O son of Allah's Prophet.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ نَبِيِّ اللهِ

Assalaamo a’layka yabna nabiyillahe

Peace be upon you; O son of Allah's Prophet.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ حَبِيْبِ اللهِ

Assalaamo a’layka yabna habibillahe

Peace be upon you; O son of Allah's most beloved.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ الْمُصْطَفىَ

Assalaamo a’layka yabnal-mustafa

Peace be upon you; O son of the Well-chosen Prophet.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلىَ مَنْ حَوْلَكَ

Assalaamo a’layka wa ala man hawlaka

Peace be upon you and upon those surrounding you

مِنَ الْمُؤمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤمِنَاتِ رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَی عَنْكُمْ

menal mo'meneen wal mo'menaat razeyallho ta'ala ankum

from the believing men and women, may Allah be pleased with you

وَأَرْضَاكُمْ أَحْسَنَ الرِّضَا وَجَعَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْزَلَكُمْ

wa arzakum ahsanal-arza wa ja'alal jannata manzalakum

and may He please you with the best pleasure and may He decide Paradise to be your abode,

وَمَسْكَنَكُمْ وَمَأْوَاكُمْ

wa maskanakum wa ma'wakum

dwelling, and house

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

was-salamo alaykum wa rahmatullaahe wa barakaatohu.

Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا اِسْمَاعِيْلَ

Peace be upon our master, Ishmael,

ذَبِيحِ اللهِ ابْنَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِ اللهِ

the slain for Allah, and son of Abraham, the Friend of Allah.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ وَابْنَ نَبِيِّهِ

Peace be upon you; O Allah's prophet and son of Allah's prophet.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ اللهِ وَابْنَ صَفِيِّهِ

Peace be upon you; O Allah's elite and so of Allah's elite.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَنْبَعَ اللهُ لَهُ بِئْرَ زَمْزَمَ

Peace be upon you; O he for whom Allah made Zamzam Well pour out,

حِينَ أَسْكَنَهُ أَبُوهُ بِوَادٍ غََيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ

after his father had settled him in valley unproductive of fruit,

عِنْدَ بَيْتِ اللهِ الْمُحَرَّمِ وَاسْتَجَابَ اللهُ

near Allah's Sacred House, and for whom Allah responded

فِيهِ دَعْوَةَ أَبِيْهِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ حِينَ قَلَ

to the prayer of his father, Abraham, who said,

رَبَّنَا إنِّي أَسْكَنَتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ

"O our Lord! Surely, I have settled a part of my offspring in a valley unproductive of fruit near Your Sacred House,

رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ

our Lord, that they may keep up prayer; therefore make the hearts of some people

تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُنَ

yearn towards them and provide themn with fruits; haply they may be grateful.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ سَلَّمَ نَفْسَهُ لِلذَّبْحِ

Peace be upon you; O he who submitted himself for slaying,

طَاعَةً لأَمْرِ اللهِ تَعَالَى

in compliance with the order of Allah, the Exalted,

إذْ قَالَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ يَا بُنَيَّ إنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ

when his father said to him, "O myy dear son! Surely, I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you;

فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَلَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُوْمَرُ

consider then what you see. He said : O my father! do what you are commanded;

سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَاللهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِيْنَ

if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones."

فَدَفَعَ اللهُ عَنْهُ الذَّبْحَ وَفَدَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيْمٍ

So, Allah spared him from being slain, and ransomed him with a feat sacrifice.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَعَانَ أَبَاهُ عَلَى بِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ

Peace be upon you; O he who helped his father construct the Ka bah,

كَمَا قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى وَ إذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ الْقَوَاعِدَ

as Allah, the Exalted, has said : "And when Abraham and Ismail raised the foundations

مِنْ ااْبَيْتِ وَ إِسْمَاعِيْلُ

of the House : Ismail Our Lord!

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيْمُ

Accept from us; surely You are the Hearing, the Knowing.

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ مَدَحَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى

Peace be upon you; O he whom Allah, the Exalted, praised

فِي كِتَابِهِ بِقَوْلِهِ وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيْلَ

in His Book, saying, "And mention Ishmael in the Book;

اِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَبِيّاً

surely he was truthful in (his) promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet.

وَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ

And he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving,

وَكَانَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيّاً

and was one in whom his Lord was well pleased."

اَسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ جَعَلَ اللهُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ مُحَمَّداً

Peace be upon you; O he in whose offspring, Allah put Muhammad,

سَيِّدَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَخَاتِمَ النَّبِيَّينَ

the Master of Messengers, and the Seal of Prophets,

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ

blessings of Allah be upon him and his Household.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أبِيْكَ إبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيْلِ اللهِ

Peace be upon you and upon your father, Abraham, the Friend of Allah,

وَعَلَى أخِيكَ إسْحَاقَ نَبِيِ اللهِ

and upon your brother, Isaac, the prophet of Allah.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى جَمِيعِ أَنْبِيَاءِ اللهِ

Peace be upon you and upon all of Allah's prophets

الْمَدْفُونِينَ بِهَذِهِ الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ الْمُعَظَّمَةِ

who were buried in this blessed and honored area.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمِّكَ الطَّاهِرَةِ الصَّابِرَةِ

Peace be upon you and upon your mother, the pure and steadfast,

هَاجَرَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

namely Hagar. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

حَشََرَنَا اللهُ فٍي زُمْرَ تِكُمْ تَحْتَ لِوَاءِ مُحَمَّدٍ

May Allah include us with your group under the pennon of Muhammad,

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمْ

Allah's peace and blessings be upon him and his Household.

وَلاَ جَعلَهُ اللهُ آخِر الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِكُمْ

May Allah not decide this visit to be the last of my visit

وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه

Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.

Thereafter it is recommended to offer a two-unit salat

Ziyarat within the Framework of Personal Relationship -Article

It is within this framework that the state of mutual exchange in this relationship becomes more distinct and stronger, and the phenomenon of give-and-take between the za’ir (visitor) and the mazur (the one visited) becomes even more active.
Among the most important features which become manifest as a result of this relation between the za’ir and the mazur are:
1. Prayer for the Holy Prophet and his Progeny, sending blessings on them, and seeking Allah’s mercy for them: “O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing by which You will make for them plentiful Your gifts and generosity, and perfect for them Your bestowals and awards, and fill out their share of Your kindly acts and benefits.”43
We read in the Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet (S) , “O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Progeny, and send Your benedictions on Muhammad and his Household, the best You have blessed, sent benedictions, showered mercy, showed affection and sent salutations on Ibrahim and the Progeny of Ibrahim.”
2. Praying for the Holy Prophet (S) and his Progeny that may Allah make them mediators (wasa’il) to His mercy for His servants, and intercessors (shufa’a’) with Him on their behalf.
A phrase in the Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet (S) reads, “O Allah, give Muhammad the mediation (wasilah), honour, excellence, and a noble position. O Allah, confer on Muhammad the most honourable station, the gift of peace, and intercession {for the followers of} Islam. Join us with him, such that we are not ashamed, nor among those who have broken their promise {with him}, nor regretful.”
In another Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet, we read, “O Allah, grant him a {lofty} position, mediation to the Heaven, and raise him to such a praiseworthy station that the first and the last ones would covet it.”
3. Seeking recourse (tawassul) with the Holy Prophet (S) and his Progeny (‘a), and implore for their intercession (shafa’ah) with the permission of Allah, “O Allah, make me distinguished in Your eyes in this world and the Hereafter, for the sake of Muhammad and his Household. O Prophet of Allah, I turn with your help toward Allah, your Lord and my Lord, that He may forgive me my sins, and accept from me my deeds, and fulfill for me my needs. So intercede on my behalf with your Lord and my Lord, for the best of those who have been asked and the best of the masters is my Lord, and you are the best intercessor, O Muhammad, upon you and your Progeny be peace.”
In the Ziyarat of the A’immah (‘a) buried at al-Baqi’, we say, “This is the position of one who has exceeded the limits, sinned and has been humiliated, who confesses what he has committed of the offences, and {now} anticipates salvation from the state he is in… so you be my intercessors, as I have come to you when the people of this world have turned away from you, and have taken the signs of Allah in derision, and are disdainful of them.”
In the Ziyarat of Hamzah (‘a), the uncle of the Holy Prophet (S) , “I have come to you from a distant place, asking {you} to set my soul free from the Fire, as my back has been burdened with my sins and I have committed what enrages my Lord. I find no one to flee to better for me than you, the Household of mercy; so be my intercessor.”
4. Turning to Allah and asking Him to grant us their neighbourhood and companionship in the Hereafter, and firmness of stand on their guidance and path in this world, and that we may live and die in this world the way they lived and died, and that we may be resurrected in their company in the Hereafter, in the same manner that He, the Exalted, endowed us with their guidance and love in this world.
In the Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet (S) we come across the following phrases, “O Allah, I seek refuge in the generosity of Your face from placing me in the position of humiliation and disgrace, on the day the veils shall rip apart and the secrets shall be disclosed and violent fear shall seize {the people};
and the Day of Sorrow and Penitence; the Day of Drought, the Approaching Hour, the Day of Dispossession, the Day of Judgement, the Day of Requital, a day whose span is fifty thousand years, the Day of {the blow of} the Trumpet, the day when the Quaker quakes and is followed by the Successor, the Day of Resurrection, the Day of Exposition, a day when mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds, the day when a man will evade his brother, his mother and his father, his spouse and his sons, the day the earth is split open and the flanks of the skies, the day when every soul will come pleading for itself, the day they will be returned to Allah and He will inform them about what they have done, the day when a friend will not avail a friend in any way.”
After this round of asking the companionship of the Holy Prophet (S) and the friends of Allah on that dreadful day, the visitor (za’ir) says: “O Allah, have mercy on my stand on that day, and do not disgrace me in that site because of what I have committed against my self. O my Lord, make my coming out on that day with them, and my resurrection in the company of Muhammad and his Progeny (‘a). Make his spring {of kawthar} to be the place of my arrival, and give me my book in my right hand.”
We read in the Ziyarat of Abu al-Fadl al-’Abbas (‘a), “May Allah gather us with you, and with His Prophet and friends.”
The following has also appeared in some texts of the Ziyarat, “Strengthen for me a truthful stand (qadama sidqin) with al-Husayn and the companions of al-Husayn, who sacrificed their souls for al-Husayn (‘a).”
In the supplication of ‘Alqamah recited after the Ziyarat of ‘Ashura’, we read, “O Allah, make me live the life of Muhammad and his Progeny, and make me die the like of their death. Take my soul while I am on their religion, and resurrect me in their company. Do not separate me from them even for a blink of an eye, forever, in this world and the Hereafter.”
A phrase in the lesser known Ziyarat of ‘Ashura’ reads, “O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household, and make me live their life and make me die their death, and do not separate me from them in this world nor in the Hereafter, indeed You hear all supplications.”
Part of the Ziyarat of al-Jami’at al-Kabirah reads, “May Allah make me steady, throughout my life, on Your friendship and love, and facilitate for me to obey you, and grant me your intercession, and make me among the best of your adherents, who follows that toward which you had called, and make me among those who follow in your footsteps, move on your road, who are guided through your guidance, resurrected in your company, brought back to life at your return (raj’ah), given an office during your rule, honoured under your protection, granted power in your days, and who will be delighted to see you tomorrow {in the Hereafter}.”
A phrase in the Ziyarat of Abu al-Fadl al-’Abbas (‘a) says: “May Allah gather us with you, and with His Prophet and friends, in the stations of the humble ones.”
In this way the bond between the visitor (za’ir) and the one visited (mazur) is accomplished. It is a mutual relationship which involves, on the one hand, prayers, greetings and salutations on the ‘one visited’ from the visitor, while on the other, it entails prayer to Allah by the visitor, asking from Him the intercession of the ‘one visited’ and his companionship in the Hereafter. This is taking into consideration that the mediator in this relationship, from both sides, is Allah; as He, the Glorious, the Exalted, is the one asked from (al-mas’ul), first and last.
